Hello. Thank you so much for this detailed video about the setup of "Ultimate Member" plugin. I have installed and also successfully setup this plugin in my WordPress website.
Thank you for this video, one question...I would like to create a subscription for monthly recipes which only people who have paid their membership have access to, how would I go about incorporating this membership plugin with a paid subscription?
To set up a subscription for monthly recipes with paid access, you can use the Ultimate Member Stripe Extension. Here’s the link: ultimatemember.com/extensions/stripe/
@@emiwebs Nice, can they also make posts for a custom post type that I have created? And how do they do it, through the wordpress interface or through a form?
I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to achieve, but you can use different roles to manage various levels of access. This way, you can create distinct "member areas" by assigning different roles to users, each with their own permissions and content access.
Hi, the video is great except I cannot see where to paste the registration form shortcode. I don't have the option to paste it beneath the page title as you have done. Can I add the shortcode anywhere else?
Hi! There should be a page called Registration, and make sure the code is added there. If not, you can create another page and add the code. You can find the code under WP Dashboard > Ultimate Member > Forms. It should be the default registration form. Let me know
Thanks! Glad you liked the video. To get the customer back to the site after logging in, go to UM plugin > User Roles > Select the role (edit) > Login options > Set the action to be taken after login. This should direct them where you want.
Suppose i have many blog posts. Only the user who purchased to see 'that particular post' should be allowed to read it. So basically i wanted to sell each blog post. Can i do this with the plugin? Or any suggestions please.
Amazing video. I have a question. I want to hide the page Register and register the members by myself as admin. Do you know how I can do ? In a few words I want to realize the membership page as you did, but only showing the option of login, because I will create the member by myself.
Great tutorial. I watched the entire thing and I find it informative. May I ask, if Ultimate member supports 2 factor authentication(2fa) login from other applications. Thank you!
@@emiwebs Is it not practically the same as that option of a second Email to activate the account? OR is the 2FA more secure? Great video, helped a lot. Thanks!!
Thank you for this video. I want to create a wedding planning website where each user has their own private section where they upload (or select) stationery options, fill in checklists for themselves, upload photos, all private to just that user. Can I do this with 'user notes'?
Sir basically after clicking the login button I want to redirect them to some custom dashboard page where user can do their activity on my website. How can I redirect the user to dashboard page when clicked login button.
HI, can you tell me how to remove the duplicated account pages that Ultimate Member has created in my site? ?? U.M does not allow it's account pages to be assigned as child pages and this has created confusion to my site menu now containing two sets of login/logout, account, etc. I am thankful for any assistance you can offer.
This was great and I just set up my website just by following along as you made it really simple. My question can you add a small section that shows a welcome message to the logged in user. I am going to use some plugin to achieve that like Theme my login or user menus plugin.
Thank you! Yes, you can redirect them to a specific URL with the welcome message (user roles setting). Normally, you can send them to their account and add that message there. 😉
Awesome video mate! Didn’t understand how can we show the title of the page on the menu for users that aren’t logged. When I’m not logged, it shows on the menu title of my member page “restricted content” instead of the title that I made (membership area), that’s only visible for me as admin. How can I make the title visible for everyone?
Hey Rodri! You need to change the restriction access on that page and make it public. I explain how to do it in the video at 19:39. Otherwise, you can change it from the Dashboard > Appearance > Menu and select the access level. If you're not sure how to do it, feel free to reach out to me through my website. Thanks!
Thank you so much I need help 🙏 how can I allow a user to have like 2 accounts E.g, account A for some content, account B for some content that is not allowed in the A, E g 2, like a user can create an account for himself and for his kids but still have access to the 2 account on the same device and email
Thanks a lot for this amazing video, but i need some help about how to direct the user after loging in to a certain page not to the user profile. thanks in advance
Great video. Thanks. Do you know if UM or perhaps Wordpress itself can keep track of and keep me posted on user count? I want to run a promo: first X signups get free content for life or something. Thanks.
You have several options. You can set up an email notification for every signup and run a report on your user count. Are you approving the users, or are they automatically approved? As I mentioned, there are various options, and you need to see which one is best for your workflow.
Please sir, how do I allow a user that created account on my WordPress website to create a sub account for his or her kids, Like, let me use Netflix as an example, when you pay for Netflix you can be able to create account for your kids, and your kids can watch any kids movies but won't have access to the adult movies, but you been the adults that have the main account, can have access to the boot account
Yes, you can achieve this with the Ultimate Member plugin. First, create custom roles for parents and children. Set up separate registration forms for each role. Use a plugin like User Role Editor to manage capabilities and add custom fields to link child accounts to parent accounts. Restrict content based on roles using Ultimate Member's content restriction features. For advanced features, you might need custom coding to manage sub-accounts from the parent account. If you need more help, feel free to reach out.
@@emiwebs Chai! Thank you so much for your reply sir, but honestly I'm confuse, I realy need your help on this, and how I wish you can do a tutorial about it
Hi I installed this plugin for my wordpress website. I have configured everything. But it still shows me Wordpress login when i login in incognito tab in my staging site.
To make a user profile page visible only to logged-in users access the user profile page and scroll down to the Ultimate Member settings box. Then, enable the content restriction option and select 'Logged in users' under the access settings.
Yes, you can integrate subscriptions with the Ultimate Membership Plugin. It supports various subscription plans and payment gateways, allowing you to manage recurring payments and member access.
