Outstanding. Everything you do is just perfect. You're our very own Norm Abram only better 'cause you garden. New Yankee Workshop and Victory Garden all in one. Love the new logo, btw.
Pretty neat project! I love the Jona Pope's Milwaukee inserts, super clever. Where did you get that battery organizer sitting on top of your unit? That is pretty neat and I don't recall it from your other videos.
That's why I got a decent 3d printer. So nice to keep everything together when I need a tool. I drew the holders up and printed them. Supposed to hang on the wall but for now fit on top. Thanks for watching.
Outstanding work, I envy your skill set. I know from following you over the years you have an engineering background ground, my question, can we (common Joe) be able to make as much use out of 3D printer as we see you have been able? The “design” part of the equation seems to come easy to you. I know we can find/purchase design files but a some point don’t you need to learn how to look at a need, design a solution and go to printing in order to justify a 3D printer?? Thank you, for all the hours of outstanding video tutorials.
Thanks. I recently purchased Alibre for the design (after trying all the free ones) and luckily it's easy for me to use. I have a friend that also bought it with zero design experience. After watching a couple videos about using it, he is picking it up pretty fast so a common Joe with some time invested and the right attitude will have no problem. In the near future AI will also be available that makes models from a description or picture. The biggest part of the equation is having time to learn to use the printer and be willing to make mistakes to learn from. The current 3d printers and slicers are very easy to use with default settings. Probably best to try some design programs and try to come up with some simple parts to start that are easy to print. If you get past that the slicing and printing will be easy. Thanks for watching
I bought Alibre Atom last December when they had the sale after not finding the free programs easy to learn and having Fusion 360 delete all my files on the cloud because they eliminated the free version. Thanks for watching.
Was a Russian export banned from import when the Ukraine fight started. It's all going to China now for them to build furniture that is imported to the US. The ban is only hurting small guys like us because it's still coming in the backdoor. wish the people in charge of sanctions had brains. Thanks for watching.
@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 thanks for the info. We are surrounded by insanity.. There are trees in this country. Why can't we produce high quality plywood?!
Thanks. I was hesitant to try these organizers when they first came out. Making inserts for tools and related accessories has switched my mind. Thanks for watching.
Excellent solution. I’ve organized some of my tools straight into a black hole. Never found them again. Can you recall the brand or trade name of the plywood that is a substitute for Baltic birch?
Thanks. That's my problem, have many doubles because the originals went into black holes. This was just called Euro Multiply Plywood made from European Poplar. This is where I found it www.pittsfordlumber.com/Pittsford-Lumber/Hardwood-Plywood-Rochester-NY.html Expensive but was nice and flat. Baltic Birch is no longer available up here. Thanks for watching.
Boy, you have been busy. I'll bet you have missed some naps working on that.😂I know from experience it takes quite a bit of time to tackle a job like that. But in the end it is all worth it and makes life easier in the end.
Didn’t miss any naps 😴. Was pretty easy and fun without any angles. Just a little cursing when I realized that I measured the packout box wrong 😫 back when I first started playing with Alibre. Nice to have things organized and easy to find. Hopefully your cabinets are coming along. Thanks for watching.
