Great video, as alwaysJason! Brought this cabinet lil while ago to complete my MK wall. At first didnt see the value in this cab because of MK2 legacy that came a few months back! But after thinking about it for a year, i decided to mod my MK2 cab in Defender cab with Defender partycade PCB and buy the correct panel from 99 Live Arcade!

I love the light up marquees on this cabinet. Purchased it from Sam’s this last December. The number 1 Arcade 1 UP cabinet I have is the Sega Golden Axe Revenge of Death Adder. I would rank the Ultimate Mortal Kombat cabinet right behind the Golden Axe Death Adder cabinet.
Ooh! She’s pretty. Def looks good dude. 1, 2, and 3 were for sure my favs. Only really played the first on Genesis, but my buds and I frequented the mall on weekends for 2. When 3 came out we were actually pissed at first they replaced the cabs…however, then we played 3. Haha. Blown away!
I really like that lower light up marquee. It looks pretty nice. Maybe I didn't catch it but did you buy this to replace an older MK cabinet or do you have them all now?
Yeah I like that light up front panel also, it’s perfect on this cab. I sold my MK2 Legacy a couple months ago to a friend so this one is pretty much just replacing that one. Thanks for checking out the video brother!
I bought this last year I think in April. I paid a total of $475 from Sam’s Club. I caught fomo because I was actually convinced they were going to be the only retailer offering it. Then the $199 sale happened and made me sick. Is what it is though. Anyway the cab is Gorgeous and looks very high quality. I like it way better than the MK2 artwork version. That said, now I want the MK2 deluxe, or MK4 if they offer it. Excellent review as always Sir 👍

I think I paid 600 for ridge racer then it went down to $299. I’m really liking this UMK3 cab a lot, I’ll be tempted to pair it with the new MK2 Deluxe when it comes out. I just assembled mine Wednesday. It seems to have one of the best (if not the best) build quality of all my arcades. The only issue has been my y-splitter cable was defective so the marquee and J-panel don’t light up together (they work separately if you plug them directly into the pcb). They were very responsive and are sending me a new cable. Loving it otherwise.
@@stuntz0rZ 😂 far from it actually. I spoke way too soon when I left that comment. I've since had the opportunity to buy one locally online for $250 and I'm not happy with it at all. Besides it "looking" good, it's terrible. The design makes it impossible to enjoy the gameplay and it doesn't even include WiFi. Not only that, I can actually buy the real deal full size working arcade machine for $1200, again locally. I left that initial comment BEFORE I knew wth I was even talking about. That UMK3 Arcade 1 up machine looks good to the eyes. Other than that, it sucks.

Great looking cab. Only real knock on any of the MK/SF cabs is that they're a bit too small for 2 bigger guys to comfortably play against each other, and as you mention, they're too short. I do wish that the hidden characters were unlocked as it's pretty hard to unlock them otherwise. Funnily enough, the game I end up playing the most on the MKII cab is TAPPER, because the controls are perfect for it. Great video as always brother!

I agree it’s definitely tough to get two bigger guys playing on there. Whenever they end up doing a Street Fighter or MK pro series with the larger, wider deck I will probably sell a machine to pick one of those up. Hoping for a Street Fighter Alpha pro series specifically. 👍

@3rdFloorArcade I would love to see Daytona USA with local and Co-op play! But arcade1up have guaranteed that it will work outside the box! I would like to see is a Taito or Data East or Konami Legacy! There is a petition going around for the data east/robocop cab, did you sign it?
Although I'm terrible at fighters, the Midway Legacy collection is stuffed with some of my all-time favorite games so I was trying to decide which to get when I stumbled across a deal for this one for $199. If this only had WiFi and online features (particularly spectate mode), it would be perfect.
Online leaderboards and matches would have definitely been awesome on here. I missed the $199 deal but was happy to see it for $299 at Walmart. Thanks for checking out the video Thor KC! 👍
Cool review as always . I just got that cab for my son at the sams sale for $199 around Xmas . I loved the artwork n extra light n hes an MK fan . I’m going to do a short review on my channel This week . I did a handful of cool mods to it . I added a riser it’s def too small that’s my biggest complaint . Plus my pcb died after a week lol

@@3rdFloorArcade yep but they were busy after Xmas Took them about 5 days to respond but then got it out quick In the meantime I took out my defender pcb n put it in there so my son could still play n it worked fine Then switched it back out

Do yourself a favor and get the 4" riser booster from Buy Stuff Arcades. Brings the cab up to perfect height and fits very nice. I guess A1Up never stood in front of their cab creation SMH FFS LOL. I own the MKII Legacy (My favorite midway MK cab). Purchased it for $199 without custom riser or light up marquee. Made total sense for me personally because I feel A1Up butchered the light up marquee on that cab. Also I hate the wings look. So I knew I was replacing that immediately anyway. After some add-ons I now have a MKII cab that I wanted from the start. Gonna make a vid sometime soon. Yes this is a nice cab. I would get the AGF delux marquee (it's a absolute homerun IMO) and the booster for sure though. That's just me though. Good stuff J..Enjoy! my man

I just wanted your opinion. I have tmnt, t2, and mvc2. Since you've played most of the cabs I'm trying to decide between nba jam nfl blitz and mk2 deluxe. What would u go with?

Hi, Jason! So my UMK3 cab started acting up. The screen will automatically turn off. The marquee and J panel are still lit though. Do have any idea why by any chance?
Whew! Finally all caught up! lol I was behind about 4 or 5 months with your videos. But all good now and I'll try to keep up from this point moving forward. You have such a positive attitude and make the videos enjoyable to watch! I'm so anxious to get my Ridge Racer together! I got it for $299 from Best Buy during Black Friday week. I was so happy when the price dropped on that cabinet! I'm going to enjoy it in stock form. Then make it my ultimate racing cabinet! I might do that board mod to try out firs (which has a ton of racing games built in and it should be a plug and play deal) But I'll probably do that before throwing a PC in it. Well see what happens. lol

Great review and arcade Jason! I also bought this cab around the holidays. I've been going back and forth on scooping mk30th to have the trilogy but after having Golden tee 3d in my arcade I can't justify buying another cab with a TN monitor without a major price drop.
The Umk3 cabinet is really nice Jason! I can see why you picked this one up at $299 as the visuals and the quality of the overall cabinet is really good. The light up front panel(where the controls are at) is an amazing touch that adds to the overall cabinet appearance which Ac1up needs to have more on for legacy cabinets, etc. Just as you have stated, I wish that the games lineup was a bit different excluding the Mortal Kombat games but overall I think that it's a nice addition to the 3rd floor arcade. Now would you sell off the other Mk cabinet or will you keep it with the Umk3 cabinet? Keep the reviews coming as I still enjoy your content on this channel! Take care Jason!
