Pakistan is a real food haven - so many amazing street food and dishes to try. I can see more and more tourists coming to Pakistan from the UK and the USA - this country has so much to offer. People say generosity of the people is amazing and that is true. This country is starting to get quite popular these days and rightly so
It really is! If you’re a foodie it’s the perfect place to go. I think Pakistan will get a lot more tourists as the hospitality is unmatched! Thanks for watching 😀
It would have been nice if you had shown videos while you were actually in Pakistan, it's not the same feeling if the videos are old and you're not even there.
Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately we are no longer in Karachi but we did try some BBQ items while in Pakistan and wow super delicious 🤤 malai boti was my favourite
You must also go to "Skardu", you will love the natural beauty there. It is one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan. Must go to Skardu. And Your Vlogs Is Nice Keep it Up 🥰🥰🥰
I have been living in the west for the last 18 years. I visited karachi in 2018 for the first time after I left. I am planning to go end of this year. Cant wait to go to karachi.. Welcome to karachi..
Awesome vlog as always, Dan you should wear a mask, the AQI is very poor in Pakistan, the thing Ash and you were referring to in the last was not cornflakes, it's called papri. The thing went wrong coz the papri is supposed to be crispy and sprinkled over the lentil balls soaked in yogurt. I am absolutely baffled how that dish was prepared. Had you tried the same in lahore you would have known the real taste. Good luck, please refrain from mix matching the food as somethings don't go together at all, hence the queezy tummies. Cant wait for the next vlog..... be careful about your mix and match dishes, even if you are anywhere in South Asia. Huh... 😢 the northern vlogs 😂😂😂😂.
Thank you! Yes that was probably the thing I disliked about Pakistan was the AQI, it gave me (Dan) a bad cough for a most of the trip. Thanks for telling us about Papri and we will definitely show you the northern areas in our vlogs (they aren’t too far away now 😂)
Hey there! I've been loving your incredible journey through Pakistan in your videos. I can see how much you're enjoying the sights and experiences. However, I couldn't help but notice the language barrier and limited interactions with locals. As a proud Pakistani, I would love to offer my services as a translator and guide for you both, free of charge. I'm passionate about showcasing the rich culture, nature, and warmth of the people in my country. Let's make your adventure even more enriching and memorable together! Just drop me a message if you're interested. Safe travels!❤

Hello Ash & Dan , I'M from KING'S PARK ,GLASGOW 🏴 , just for a piece of information on your visit at The Food Street, Karachi, this Street name, does it ring any bells?? The Street is named on SCOTTISH, great ROBERT BURNS , the Famous BURN'S NIGHT, school days reminder 😀 👍, I know U guys R from SCOTLAND,🏴 , where from, coz l am also going to visit Karachi Pakistan in November 2024. All the best from GLASGOW🏴🎉🎉
Haha thanks for this! I guess we didn't have our brains switched on but that would make sense 😂 Ah, we hope you have a great trip when you visit, we are missing some of the delicious food! We are from Aberdeen - a couple hours north from Glasgow
Nothing is free, it doesn’t mean Pakistani people are kind and generous. It’s your duty to Must pay for your items or service, I kindly request to all tourists who are visiting Pakistan 🇵🇰 please don’t abuse their kindness
It's surprising that you continued to consume street food even after experiencing food poisoning many times. I recall a time when I ate something that also food poisoned me, and I decided never to repeat the experience. To ensure safety and hygiene, it's recommended to avoid food vendors with questionable cleanliness and opt for reputable restaurants instead. Online platforms like Tripadvisor recommends the best restaurants. Stay hydrated and drink bottled mineral water. I hope you guys have a good time. Much love ❤
Of course, we love trying local food when we visit new countries. Certainly we always tried to visit food vendors that were busy with queues if we were trying street food. The funny thing, Dan’s worst food poisoning came from the more famous and highly rated restaurant in Lahore! 😅 thanks for your tips though
Nice to see you both..but you go to Waheed kabab you eat nayhari but Waheed is famous for. Fried kabab & bar b q....then not eat Haleem, Biryani,sajji,katakat,karhai...so you missed Alot for burns road
Good to see you guys in Karachi...well I suggest you adopt a little discipline while eating in Pakistan, for example, eat a little sweet after every meal and after that, you may take tea..however, don't eat or drink anything cold plus don't eat dahi balaan or any yougrut after seven at night ....! plus must eat some fresh salad at lunchtime...the reason of your cough due non-discipline in eating especially hot and cold impact well although Pakistan is dirty and polluted, no disciple disorganised ...still you are going to miss Pakistan's food and people for sure, coz after living ten years in the UK still I prefer and love to live in Pakistan
Thanks for the tips! we found out later during our trip Dan had bronchitis as his cough kept getting worse and it was definitely from the air pollution in the cities 🥲 We will miss the kind people and hospitality of Pakistan that’s for sure! No where else like it
@@AshAndDan. If you guys are still in Pakistan then you must eat Gola Goppas without any sweet chatni and drink the spicy water .or any spicy drink with chillies -.for half an hour brother you may feel sick and 100% you will be fine, at the day end. Your chest will be clear from all kinds of infections and allergies ..your cough wont go away from taking any medicine soon..! try it ...all the best ...
Haha thank you for sharing, we didn’t know this at the time we ate it! Only finding out now from the comments 😂 we just thought it was a name for beef. So plain would be just the sauce on its own or sauce with beef?
@@AshAndDan. You should, qisa khowani Bazar is an ancient Bazar in Peshawar which means storytellers Bazar, Peshawar had a different culture than Punjab, don't forget to try food at nisaar charsi tikka, peshawri people mostly have western look, like fair skin and some may have blue eyes and brown hair
Yes I suppose your right, sometimes we feel rude sitting with strangers and pointing a camera around (hence the chai stop with the 2 local guys we didn’t film)
I think Anja would die from all of the spice..hahaha. What's the current selfie count with locals during this Pakistani series? 😂 You guys should have tried the brains! I feel like we've tried most other organs, but I don't think we've ever tried brain...yet. 🧠 🧟♂️
In all fairness not all of the food was spicy, I think maybe she would enjoy the BBQ Food as it’s super delicious 🤤 Haha I think selfie count was lost a long time ago 😂 honestly never had so many photos taken before!! Insane! We aren’t brave enough for trying brain, although we have since found out from the comments we actually ordered Nalli which is bone marrow hahah, we had no idea at the time 😂
@AshAndDan. I imagine it to be a similar texture as bone marrow! We've had that many times and liked it. Though I do think brain can have more of a "funk" to it. Or so we've heard. 🫣
That was our first time and because we didn’t know what it was, can’t say if we do or don’t like it… however the dish was tasty so I imagine we like it 😄
No matter what you shouldn't take it free,we dont do it in the west then why should foreigners eat free, especially no one gives you even water for free in the western countries. It is not fair on these people who hardly save anything at the end of the day.😢
I agree, we always offered to pay but sometimes vendors just refuse and would see it as offensive if we persisted on paying as they treated us as guests. Very kind people and the west could learn from Pakistans hospitality 🇵🇰
Of course everything is not free, we were referencing to our experience on Burns road where many shop keepers were kind and did not let us pay. The media does paint a negative picture of Pakistan but we see for ourselves Pakistani people are good people ❤️🇵🇰
My humble request to all tourists especially western ones ( I don’t say this with malice but I have to be clear on it) please stop promoting this ‘ free everything’ please. Those people work very hard and they end up charging the poor locals twice as much to accommodate you and their hospitality. If they pay for your snack or maybe tea then it’s still okay. If random people pay for your dinner or bus fare that’s still okay. But please pay the vendors, pay the workers. Please stop promoting this. Please note I am not singling out a particular race, it’s a trend I’ve seen among many similar tourists. I am not trying to insult you in any manner, if that’s what you feel please forgive me.
Thanks for sharing this! It is so kind of the local vendors to offer some free products on occasion as it’s something you rarely see in the West. We just wanted to highlight how kind people are in Pakistan rather than take advantage. We always offered to pay but it’s impossible sometimes as the vendors refuse. Thank you for watching 🇵🇰
@@AshAndDan. I understand your sentiment but I’ve seen many take advantage of this hospitable trait as well. I know you mean no ill intent and I do not doubt that as I’ve mentioned earlier. I just wish that you guys would also consider mentioning, even if it’s free we must still pay. Until they refuse absolutely. That’s it. It was just an input. I hope it didn’t come across offensively. Thank you
Tbh giving free food to tourist is stupid not hospitality. Tourist are well earning people who can spend, and those shopkeepers don't give free food to poor people or help realy needy. This is just colonial mindset and obsession towards white skin.
Can’t say we agree fully, we witnessed shopkeepers and other locals giving food and money to poor people and children during our trip. Of course it’s a very kind gesture and not something we expected or ever experienced before in another country. Also I’ve seen from other non-white tourists they also give free food and chai.
@@AshAndDan.Generally in India and Pakistan we treat foreigners and tourists as a guest in our country and there is a traditional culture to take care of guest so these is what culture in India and Pakistan and it's very hard sometimes for Western people's to understand these concept but in our countries it's common
hey are Hospitable because Pakistan is the most religious country in the world and in the religion it is said to be hospitable to the guests. other reason is because of the fair skin. but because it is such hyper religious country if someone is accused of blasphemy then he or she will get the ultimate treatment the opposite way irrespective of nationality and skin colour. there is only one punishment for the blasphemy accused. that happened to a Sri Lankan in 2022 nearly happened to a Chinese in 2023 and happens regularly to Pakistani citizens also specially to minorities.
