But ultimately, as a streamer, I think it's a bit much and instead have decided to use Standard Audio turned up pretty loud and then implement the Sound Lock to catch those high peaks. If you're not a streamer, OR don't mind the ambient noise - The windows enhanced audio is the BEST way to hear everything much more clearly in PUBG and other games like Warzone. Also, if you use the EE option, be sure to go into the settings and change the attack option form Short-Long to Short. Thank you guys for watching, hope this helped you get the best sound out of your favorite FPS games!
I have a corsair sound card in the sound control panel i have these 2 settings low frequency protection and loudness Equalizer turned them on and now i can hear every footsteps even in gunfire i bought corsair hs45 the 7.1 sound card comes with it but i don't use the corsair software and the main headphone i use a cheap wired earbuds everything is good for me if you can fine the corsair sound card only you should try it, i don't even need to crank up the volume to 100 i keep my volume at 20-30% thats it
my game gunsounds used to be way louder as compared to footsteps or any other sounds and sound lock fixed the issue now i can hear footsteps really well thx man
@@CDome Now that you mentioned it I tend to just mute the game when I'm driving around because of how loud it gets, even with eq on. Thanks for the recommendation, will definitely try it. 👍
7:40 that's exactly why i don't use compression. didn't work in csgo and doesn't work in pubg as well. it fucks with the way your brain calculates distance and throws you off. using sound lock on a moderate setting is really nice tho.
Unfortunately you can’t get soundlock on console. You can get EQ adjustments only if you use a headset with the additional hardware. For example, the Astro pro mix amp, turtle beach tournament edition or steel series pro.
hey there is a question, does the footsteps guide work on the pc to find out where the opponent is. just like on the ps4 you can hear the footsteps on the left and right on your headset ??? do you know what i mean
@@CDome because on the Ps4 console you know immediately where the opponent is in the footsteps, you can only hear the left and right guides on your headset ... because on the PC there is no effect so the sound of footsteps in the middle of your headset is focused. so annoyed with my game.
Should I use the basic "stereo sound" or use a software-based surround sound (provided with the Razer Kraken headset) for PUBG? I do use Sound Lock and it works quite well but I had read/watched somewhere else where just the basic stereo sound is better for PUBG. Thanks!
Simulated surround sound is typically not a good idea for pubg. For whatever reason it makes directional audio even worse to detect. BUT, I always say it’s personal preference. Some folks like a lot of bass and EQ. On that note, if you’re finding it hard to still hear certain footsteps and audible Q’s for your enemy, try adding the windows enhanced audio with sound lock for a nice mix.
I have audio problem aswell on PUBG. My problem is that only where I am looking, only from that side sounds are available. For example i fight somebody in front of me and if somebody tries to kill me from back i will not be able to hear that. Only maybe the shot, if he shot something in front of me. I need help..
I still don't know what your sound settings are. Why is the sound coming from one side almost no sound on the other side? i tried video recording my screen and the sound is still the same, so it's not because you are recording video and the audio only play in one side. like many others, they use a soundcard or some software that boosts tiny sounds, and limits loud sounds. I can clearly hear the smoke and the sound of the zone
i have win11, and when i cIick right cIick on output and chose properties, i dont have window "enchesments" can some1 expIane me where i can find this part of "Ioudnes equaIizations"
@@CDome ok but with the only sound device I have that the enhancement mode does not appear is the razer headset but the others do and I dont know how to do it
??? Shouldn't be making any beeps. Try closing and re-opening the application. Also adjust what level you have it set too. I have mine around 35-40% sound lock.
@@CDome there is one more big problem! it is not working because when it reaches the level, it automatically turns off and when it gets below the level, it gets on!
@@CDome Thanks for the reply mate. Ah ok, how about that Dolby Atmos app? Any experience with that? I have some real issues with finding a balance between audible footsteps and not giving myself a headache from gunfire.
It's in your window's audio menu, it doesn't have anything to do with what particular headphones you're using. make sure you're using the latest version of windows, if you have a different version it may be in a different sub-menu.
@@CDome i already following your instructions,, when i playing pubg and i use my assault rifle.. my foot step and enemy foot step is gone..and coming back after 3-5 second..that's sound so great, but my problem's only that things,,thanks brother..i hope you can help me..stay safe and take care.. GBU
The problem with pubg is no footsteps at all near you because the amount of audio channels has a limit and audio gets clipped off. Unfortunately EAX and hardware audio is dead, and no game has accurate 3d audio positioning anymore, theyre ALL SHIT. The closest thing to it is BF4 using raytraced audio location.
@@CDome I'm always unlucky when it comes to sound. I have Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 OHM Mainboard is ASRock B560M Pro4. Of course, my drivers are also up-to-date. With Windows Enhancement, I set my volume to 10%. With Sound Lock, I only get 4-6%, which is so low that the sound fluctuates quite a lot because I can't set it more precisely. Without enhancement and volume at 100 %, Sound Lock only goes up to 30-40 %, which is way too loud for me. I can even hear it in the other room, because it's so loud. Well, maybe a little hyperbolic, but I can legit just leave it on the table and think it's a speaker system. I probably need something to put between the computer and the headset to fine-tune the volume more.
You can hear people from 50m away? which version of pubg you play?? i can hear shit in this game they cut the footsteps to 30m it are joke of are game and will be never competitive with current distance of footsteps! look at the numbers people leaving the game.
Yes, headsets make a difference too. My motherboard sound card (Asus STRIX) is not loud enough with Logitech Pro headset. Replaced with Logitech x6 and it deafening. But Sound Lock fixed that problem. Some USB headsets have volume issues with PUBG.
@@CDome . I don't know, I've tried everything. Reinstall realtek. And everything around and nothing. I have a Logitech g733 I don't know what to do next. :C
when speak about Enchaments Equlization, you forgot 1 importent think. When you klick that EE box you have settings option there, so you in EE settings you have release time "Short-Long". Put it to "SHORT".
how about the equalizer setting? what would be the the presets if I enable the sound lock and loudness equalization?Your reply is highly appreciated..thnx
Thanks for the great video! I have a Sound Blaster AE-7 so it doesn't show any enhancements like loudness equalization in the properties. Do you happen to know which setting it is in the Sound Blaster Command software? Is it the Smart Vol setting which states: "Intelligently minimizes abrupt volume changes by automatically adjusting the loudness of your audio playback."
You deserve 100 M like and subscribe. you r great budy i have good aim very this good. i have problem with sound . you deserved 1 m like. you can win 80 % matches if you have good sound recognize
Unfortunately sound locker doesn't work at least for me. Lowering the bar doesn't cap high volume sounds, it just acts as another volume slider like the windows slider. Can't hear footsteps if I turn it down.
It's likely driver related if you're on windows 10... Check out this link and see if the instructions help windowsreport.com/no-enhancement-tab-windows-10/
HI i dont think i have enhancement tab in properties like u had what should i do in my case in game like i hear them from 10 m i guess thats really bad what should i do
Google search "Windows Enhancements" for whatever version of windows you are running and there will be a guide on how to access it. It's not the same for windows 8, 9, 10, and 11
thank you so much for explaining so fantastically,. I have found it very very useful. i have subscribed and will recommend your channel to my viewers too ✌ cheers 🎅🏻 am known as Santa in my gaming circle, love from Santa ❤️
* Tip* If you enable Loudness Equalization while actively in a discord channel or in game you could brick your audio. To fix this you'd hang up in channel and re-enter, or restart the game. I'm glad someone finally made a refined version of explaining the pros and cons of LE, sound lock, and standard. Awesome Vid btw.
@@yh12z1 its a product of actively using voip/audio whilst changing audio. So after messing around in sound properties just hang up in channel and come back in.
Huge thx for this Audio Guide! Win enhancement helped me :) Never heard about Sound Lock b4. Would like to test it but I'm sacred it could be seen as a 3rd party tool? But on the other hand you would't show us any programs that get us banned
I have just switched from sony earphones to some quality logitec headset, and now I cant hear anything, I mean I cant hear the footsteps as I used to and the location of the shoting is very unknown. I hope this settings can help, and that its just that I am not used to a headset, so far I wished I would have bought new earphones for 20 not a headset for 120
Which Logitech headset? Make sure it doesn’t have ‘virtual surround sound’ and if it has any software see if you can adjust the EQ. You want less base and more mid/highs for footsteps. But that will also raise gunshot levels which is where soundlock can help!
@@CDome G635 , I am not using surround sound, because its even worse, yesterday I was playing with windows enhacment, and it felt better, also I increased 2K, 4K and 8K Hz in G-Hub Advanced EQ. Thanks for help.
Soundlock doesnt work with my bluetooth headephones, it turns off whenever sound goes above limit instead of stopping it from doing so (works fine with speakers). Is there any other app like it?
That’s a weird bug, I wonder what’s triggering that. I don’t know of any other programs yet but I should look into voice meter banana again. Haven’t used that since I got my GoXLR but it may have some compression options that we can use.
Dont matter anymore , the game GFX dont look the same , dont run the same , dont SOUND the same , everything has tunred to utter horse shit , the GFX , the feeling of the gameplay , the lag , the sounds of bullets all changed , its so horrificly bad compered to back in 2016-17
Always turn off those options in your settings when possible. They emulate surround sound and aren’t goood for a competitive use. They are good for just general ‘ambience’ tho.
Legends in their own minds get owned. I don’t know about this trash game but in PUBG the audible distance to hear enemy footsteps is 40 meters (134 feet) away. It goes out to 50 meters (168 feet) away when an enemy jumps
Ok now i can hear footsteps louder, but how about the "accurate" location, is this depending the headphone/earphone quality, or there's software can help too ? Because when i run looking ahead I hear my friend footsteps about right - behind me But when i take a look, he's right - in front of me
Error install sound lock --> Called RunScript when not marked in progress" and another one that says: "Called InstallFinalize when no install in progress // How fix bro?
cool video. I tried that with enhancer mode and sound lock. Perfect. Only issue in PUBG is the beginning when I fly in the C130 it is f*****g too loud. Everything else while playing is superb. Can I fix the loudness in the beginning?
Lol it’s incredibly loud isn’t it? You’ve got two options. Mute the game completely or use “F7” instant volume sound reducer and you can toggle this on/off in pubg
You could try using an external sound card, but your loudness equalization might just be a in different section of your PC if you’re using a different version of windows 10 ;)
I know this post is about a year old but I have an issue I hope someone may be able to help with. I used the Loudness Equalization for quite some time and it was amazing however, I just got a new bad a$$ gaming PC BUT it does not have the Enhancements Tab option. I use to use realtek HD and now I have realtekUSB2.0 which does not offer the enhancement option. So I tried using Logitech Pro X headset sound driver and it doesn't offer it either. I tried DL the HD version several different times and it cannot be accomplished due to Motherboard control. Does anyone know of an option or possible way I can get this back?
There are a couple YT vids out there where there’s a ‘back end’ way of getting the option because they renamed it with a future update. Sorry I don’t have specifics
Whenever I change volume in Pubg my cursor pops up and stops me from moving in game what should I do. When I tried using sound lock this happened constantly and I couldn’t play at all
Interesting. There is a clear difference using Astro a40s, senheiser HD-700, and steel series arctic pro wireless for me. Might need to tune your DAC’s EQ settings for its mid to highs if you’re having trouble hearing footsteps.
@@CDome well technically it is there with same name but only for my built in speakers. I have Logitech g733 and I can't turn it on on them. So I'm not sure if there is problem with headset or with my laptop. Thanks for responding 🤝✨
