After watching a video trying to learn retail wow rogue rotation, this is refreshing. I honestly just wanna play the game and not have to stress so much. This seems much more appealing to me.
It does say "When ANY player in your party..." and you are technically a player in your own party. But that would conflict too much with Focused Attacks. I'll have to see if I can find a definitive answer.
The internet seems to be divided on this. Some say it only works from behind and others say it works from the front as well. Here are my thoughts. Although you don't have to be behind the target to use Mutilate, the tooltip does state "when striking from behind...". Since Mutilate benefits from Backstab, and you have to be behind the target to have Backstab benefit from Opportunity it makes sense that the 20% only works from the back. Also, you should always be behind the target anyway to help with mitigation.
Don't you have to apply any poison on your daggers in order to deadly poison for envenom? Or will the instant poison proc from "no poisons apply" ALSO apply deadly poison stacks?
Focused attacks after the buff is actually on par with HAT now, you should look into it. But you do need to be fully buffed with atleast 35% crit (which isnt hard to do). Combat potency is now the weakest of the 3 runes...
You say 2 energy per crit but its actually 3, even says that on the tooltip on your video... And with focused attacks it favours gear with more crit. Ive been using this rune and its fantastic because you dont have to rely on your teammates to crit.
Yes, I did mis-quote the energy. And I agree, there is a lot of gear and buffs that can get you to 35% without any problems. But I think being on par with HAT depends largely on the group makeup since multiple people in the group can crit back to back.
