Hi guys, the replacement axles are finally available for pre-order! Get yours here: ronykuba.com/product/tactic-racing-hubs-axial-fix-hub-axles-limited-pre-order/
@@ronykuba theres a reason ebay, and marketplaces are filled with so many princeton wheels right now. While theres no proper Zipp or Enve wheels in sight 😁👌🏻
Hi, is shiv a good model for an Iron man thriatlon distancie? I,m looking for a light Triatlon bike . My options are shiv, Orbea ordu and Quintana Roo vpr. Thanks
@@ronykubafor a uci legal tri bike for both IM and TT races, would you take the shiv or the Cervelo p5? I’m in between the two, but feel the shiv may not be well suited for longer distances
I can’t find a single post, video, or forum discussing the issues you mentioned about the tactic hubs that PCW uses… if there is an issue I can’t find it being discussed anywhere?
After posting it on instagram, I got at least a dozen responses confirming the same issue, despite the fact that it is a super expensive wheelset that not many people use.
@@ronykuba I’m use to rim breaks and quick release and am switching to disk and through axles… bought this same set of wheels. Forgive me I am still confused…. Is the solution to buy and use a different through axle? Or are you actually taking apart the tactic hub and exchanging parts of it? Can you help me understand the solution better thanks
@@thepatternforms859 no, the thru axle and the hub axle are two different things. The thru axle merely fixes the wheel in the frame and it has nothing to do with the forces acting on the bearings. What needs to be exchanged is the hub axle.
@@thepatternforms859 as the hubs are literally bonded to the rest of the wheel and these wheels aren’t offered with any other option, it is very much a wheel problem, not a hub problem.
Thanks for sharing this! I actually ordered the exact same wheelset some weeks back, which are said to be arriving next week. I'll update if mine have the same issue too once I have them.
I got my wheel set today, and fortunately I don't have the same issue. Initially the rear wheel wouldn't spin when tightened, which made me really worried, but shortly, I realized it was because of the disk rotor. I adjusted the caliper, and afterwards the wheel spun freely. Can't wait to try them out over the weekend😀
