Another newcomer here, so really appreciate the tips. It seems like most of the negative reviews for the game is because you have to build up your players the hard way. Probably why the older 2K games was so popular since you start out with a god tier golfer.
Thank you very much - didn't know about the changing of clubs! This is amazing! Would be great, if you could do like a bag tutorial for every course or for the important ones like The Masters and so on.

I was about to give up on this game, shooting +15 or more but then i found your series and just shot -5 and came in 2nd and not in 100th+ for the first time. thanks.
what was it you did or learned that changed up how well you play? personally, i use full line and 3 click. im old school i guess, just reliving hot shots golf. what i had to figure out to get better, was that after roll, makes zero logic.
@@beatles42ohgg94 3-click made a huge difference. I could never figure out the other way. Plus, doing all the training to get XP and learn the shots. And finally, watching this video and more over and over to learn.

Brilliant as usual. EA should hire you for commentary for the majors. Not sure exactly how the ratings on the bottom right (equip+Stats) translate to on course performance. However I do have enough coins now to buy some named equipment so will take the gamble, assuming buying Justin's balls will help my game overall!
Hi Ryan - great job mate, very helpful. I've not made any massive mistakes I dont think. I've concentrated in Approach, Short game and Putting. Am not great driving tbh, but if I can get near the great and have a decent short game and putting stat then I feel I can at least get up and down for a par. I'll have to go back in and refresh on how you get those red and green points - cant remember. Thanks again. Cheers Doug
Thank you Doug! Appreciate you! So the green points are the premium currency that come with the deluxe edition and you also get more if you are a EA Play pro member. Other then that you have to purchase with real money but honestly there is really no need to, unless someone just really wants some of the cosmetic items. The red currency are the tickets that you can use to enter into the online weekly and seasonal tournaments. You can earn them through the daily entry fee tournaments. Hope this helps!
Thank you Kevin! Glad you are enjoying the content! So I actually covered the best way to earn reward points in my Start here beginners guide video tutorial. So basically make sure you do the daily tournaments each day, complete challenges that have reward points as rewards, and also complete the course quests and career quest. Also there are big rewards in the weekly tournaments each week, I highly recommend to play at least one of the weekly's, because if you play well you will get big rewards! The seasonal tournaments have big rewards to, and one of them (the true simulation one) is free to play. Hope this helps!
Appreciate you Larry! So XP is how you level up your golfer and unlock skill points. So you get experience just by doing just about anything in the game, and each time you level up your golfer you unlock 2 skills points to spend on skills. Hope this helps!
Hi Gamer Ability, I have been watching your video about how to level up your golfer on EA Sports PGA Tour my question is that I have reached the pro tour and winning most of the tournaments and gaining loads of pro level points but my skill level is not changing. How do I gain skill points to level up my golfer to gain distance on my driving and narrow my grid for putting ? Thank
So it seems you are doing it the right way, as you gain a lot of experience by just completing rounds and winning tournaments in career mode. It can take a long time to gain skill levels when you are at the higher levels. Also, keep in mind there is a max rank as well in which you will no longer gain skill points.
Thanks for this video ! I am a retired gamer and mainly play sports games. I find all your vids very helpful. I have a question about this game. If I start a new character to run through the amateurs, etc does that character share the experience from my first character? Do I need to do the challenges with him? Thanks, Bill
Thank you for the kind words Bill! Appreciate you! So I believe the experience and challenges are shared between your characters on the same account. But the skills and progression will be separate. Now all the cosmetics, club specs, and ball specs will be shared as well. The career save for the character will of course be different as well. Hope this helps!
So right now there is not that option unfortunately. They said they are going to add that option in a future patch. So right now you can only do quick-play or all 4 rounds.
A few questions: 1. Does leveling up skills improve even if you don't get all the way up to a new shot? 2. Speaking of dispersion zone - I noticed in some of the training challenges that the dispersion zone was not in the same place as the arrow or aiming arc. The arrow/arc would point in the middle of the green but the shadow would be way off the back of the green. Does this indicate where the shot will roll to or where it will land? If the second, does that negate the aim arrow and arc? Or is this just a bug in the game? 3. Does control also increase the range of high, low, fade, and draw shots you can make with the right stick? I also don't understand post-shot spin control. How to do it has confused me ever since the Woods/McIlroy days. It's very counterintuitive and arcadey to control spin AFTER you've already hit the shot. Isn't the pre-shot spin (right stick) better?

You said power three is a must. I’ve had that since day one. I see you have power 5. Is power 4/5 worth it?? I’m level 41 and thinking about restructuring my guy since I have 37K reward points…
Ryan can I ask you are you able to change your swing styles. I can change my swing animation but not my swing style. Just wondering is this a bug or is it locked once your golfer is created.
So yes you can. I just got on and checked just to make sure they did not change it. So I can change it by navigating to Golfer > Identity> Swing > Swing Style. I wonder if it is a bug you are experiencing that will not let you change it.
@Gamer Ability Thanks for the reply Ryan. It must be a bug because I can select as far as swing style but can't change anything. Even the back button (O on ps5) won't work. Have to use R1 to navigate away from it.
So if you are on the pro pass page in the menus, you can click on the tiers you have unlocked to claim the free rewards, and if you have premium you can claim those there as well. You do not get them automatically by progressing through each level, you have to claim each level individually by hitting X on PS or A on Xbox. A popup will show up at the bottom right of the screen when you claim it and also a green checkmark will appear over the item you claimed. Hope this helps!
So before your shot, move the non swing thumbstick up to add loft and down for deloft. You will see a grid and indication on the bottom right side of the screen above the lie and ball information.
So you can see it right before you load into the round where it shows your golfer and your gamertag below it. It will be right next to the gamertag to the left. You can also go into quickplay and when you go into select you character you can see your players overall there as well.
So the game shows the degrees the ball is above or below your feet in the bottom left of the screen if you are a left handed golfer, a higher number shown means the steeper the angle. So the lie angle has a much lesser affect as compared to PGA 2K23. If it says below the feet, the ball will be coming off slightly away from your golfer (to the left for left handed golfer) so you need to aim to the right to compensate as a left handed golfer. If it says above the feet, the ball will be coming off slightly toward your golfer (to the right for a left handed golfer) so you need to aim to the left to compensate as a left handed golfer. Hope this helps!
So mine are fixed right now, but it seems some are still having issues. I am on Xbox Series X and mine have been working as of yesterday afternoon. They said they fixed it on the server but there is a big server backlog of challenges, and that everyone will get their rewards but that they will be delayed. So hopefully you will get all your rewards
