@@rovelrajan963this game is almost 20 years old who cares if playing venom is pointless the only people who want to play this game are ones who want to relive it and I’m sure they wouldn’t mind new characters at all
@@kendaocripto I know he is because i played the Ds version, he's in the character select in the online battle mode, sadly i couldn't play it be because i was on an emulator and the servers probably already shut down
Damn the actual boss characters look like the devs had more plans with them in terms of being able to play as them. Especially Carnage with all those animations, and Rhino too
Man …. Seeing the villians playable like carnage always was my child hood dream cause I thought when u could view the different models and suits , I thought u could change into carnage and , the beetle etc . Keep in mind I was like 7 when this game came out . Lol in away little me is screaming I KNEW IT.
Technically yeah, anyone and anything is “playable” when you have access to these developers tools. You could swing around the city as an npc pedestrian, a semi truck, or even a pigeon if you have all of their assets available. They’re just gonna be the exact same as Peter or Venom functionally.
Makes me wonder why it ended up being a Nintendo handheld (GBA/DS) exclusive. Was it always intended that way, or was there a planned PS/XBOX/PC version that got scrapped? I didn’t put two-and-two together that BfNY was essentially a prequel to this until after I read the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. Would have been cool to have another full fledged installment in this series. The GBA version is still the bomb though.
@@bluesmusicandwhatnot2845There was actually supposed to be a sequel to Ultimate Spider-Man that wasn't related to Battle for New York but it would follow the Goblin story from the first game and apparently would've had a winter setting. There was even concept art showing Spider-Man and Goblin in the wintery streets while Goblin towers over Spider-Man with fire on him.
I feel like it would be better to completely disable long jumping if the character model doesn’t have an appropriate corresponding animation. i.e., It just looks goofy how Wolverine is running while flying through the air. Also, he really shouldn’t be able to jump that high and far anyways.
Used to think if you beat the game and all the johnny storm stuff you could play as either the human torch or firefly just because firefly always felt like he was a playable character to me as a kid for some reason.

In the game there's a model of Venom "Unmasked". You can see only in the last video of the game in the last level of the story. Can you make playable this model of Venom? Please Or is it too difficult?
it didnt work for me when i switched istayed as spiderman but i kept getting message t ofeed onppl. but i can see the black suit enhancments. really amazing but would you share the newer version?
@@walkthroughmedia7202'm 100% sure I saw it in one of the dev interview clips in game as a kid and trying to do it too but with no success. I own the Limited Edition of the game if that helps
Ultimate Spidey mods will never not be cursed in my eyes, like having played this game since childhood it just feels wrong seeing it like this That's not to discredit the great work behind it tho, very nice
My first tutorial was taken down and rightfully so, because at the end of the day it is still a free version usm. I will have to make a tutorial that is a mod instead of the whole game

@@hunterstroehlein78 both don’t hold up as well, but friend or foe has big nostalgia with me and also a longer game with more content. It knows what it is and does it super well. FoF is a better well made game with a better story and the gameplay mechanics are less glitchy than ultimate. ULT was just a cash grab for the comics sadly
@@MyNamesComics Absolutely insane and putrid take 🤢. Ultimate Spider-Man has a better story and better extra content. The Johnny Storm races, especially the final one 💀, challenged your skill in we swinging and forces you to master it. Ariel movement feels awesome, and the parkour system is actually really good for a GameCube game. The races and combat tours are really challenging and forces you to get good at movement and good at combat. The main game for Ultimate is easy but satisfying but the challenging extra content complements it well, but Friend or Foe is just too much of a baby game to hold up.
seeing this, as awesome as it is, makes me really sad - they did a great job with this game but with just a lil bit more this would have been every childhoods dream come true - they wouldnt have needed to do much to implement the playable villains at all but somehow they chose against it :/
