try the retro sport motors from Holmes hobbies, they are meant for the clod or any dual motor truck that runs one motor in reverse because the timing is set to zero.
I've been a fan of these trucks for years but the only chassis mod that retains the spirit of the truck in my opinion is the Jconcepts chassis. That's just my two cents. Super excited for this build. Maybe I'll pick up one once they become more readily available.
That badass chassis deserves brushless motors or at least a set of 17 turn clod team brood brush motors bc one motor runs in and reverse on a clod and the team brood motor are made for it
