as someone who hasn’t played this franchise since the ps2 and is just now getting back into it, This video helps out tremendously. Thank you for helping me and others out!!
PixelFodder, one of the cleanest racers in the game IMO, solid walkthrough m8, very coherent and concise for those that need some help, or even just for people that don't have a clear understanding of some of the fundamentals, a lot of these things are rarely covered in any detail or brushed over quickly. We now got a video to link to people that ask questions 😂😅
Greatest legends tutorial ever , no doubt. I actually admit i feel dumb because you make detailed explaination of correct sticks use in various situation in this video.... While it took me hundreds of hours to figure out the use of the sticks 😅 . I think without cheaters in leaderboards, u would be in top 10
video really helped me start winning listened more than once and took a couple hours to get comfortable with the changes but made a positive difference thank you
Casual is the core base of the game! LMK if there's anything you think would benefit the casual player base in the way of tutorials 👍 Thanks for watching mate
Very helpful tbh. Alot of very helpful and clear tips. Watching this video I can kinda get an idea of what im doing wrong when Im playing the game😅, I wanna try to work on getting better and smoother, but I know itll take time. But yeah, over all, great video!!
Thank you mate, stick at it! Supercross is good to practice jump timing which is a good skill across the board for this game if you’re looking to get smoother.
Im very curious about how they are gonna change the pro physics mechanic, thats gonna be interesting. As for me, i can not mix with the manual shifting in moto games, it is not my cup of tea. But i still make the auto work for me, not a dude who hits big lines, but i do still make the times. Im not sure if you ever tried it, i recently i also have found that if you let go of the gas mid air, back on, i do tap the clutch, almost as if your popping the clutch. It works great for the 2 strokes. Ive been making fast times on the 125. Also i do pop the clutch( tap) before i hit the whoops, i pull back on the right stick immediately following the left then again tap the clutch. I pull back before entering the whoops and usually your rear wheeling through the entire section and i believe its alot more effective then doing the extras. if your doing manual, i found 3 gear with this method to be most effective. On the most side note, i have recently been playing with pro physics off because i found it to be a lot more stable and consistent especially when you trying to throw down online. I feel the pro physics being on is less consistent. And your just floating too much and slide off the tracks, so im very interested in how the devs are gonna change up the pro physics, that be a game changer especially if it means being able to be more open with the tunes. I hope they are gonna fix the speed issue and bike sounds as well. I hate the fact that every time you hit the gas its a slow rev up then actually input the amount you do. Theres still lots they can do with the game and its terrain deformation. Tho the game is in a great spot, it still can be better.
Yeah they've still got a lot of work infront of them fr, but they're doing it which is awesome. The pro physics settings will be divided into assists and what level of assists you want. For example you'll have the option to turn off/on front and rear wheelies or have the bike centre itself while in the air or bring it back manually etc ...
@@pixelfodder see another thing that would be cool if they added was the ability to individually set tunes, front and back springs, gear ratios, and all that good stuff. I kinda wish they would bring back the handling difference between tires because they actually had that in alive, SX and SX Encore. Im always coming back to encore because it is a great game. Tho many people say you cant turn in that game, there is a trick to it. And i still very much enjoy the game for the fact the exhaust and tires do change the way the bike handles.
@@pixelfodder yeah, i actually really dont know why they wont just carry over the AI from all out, and even bring back the braap function as well. I really cant express enough about being able to customize the gear. Im one of those dudes who loves to see all the sponsors on the jersey and. And bring back some gear from other games preferably from alive. Theres a few i fell in love with in that one. Even making the dirt softer and deeper for the terrain deformation system.
I really would like to see more options for online private matches, so we can set options for all players like pro physics and maybe have 1st person only races... Make it more even
Guess I'm going to have to subscribe now because this video was already old LOL they've come out with at least two updates since this, plus the new Supercross Track Pack
I am one of the people that actually doesn't know anything about how a real dirt bike works and cannot fathom the concept of how to use manual shifting. For some reason I don't have a clue when I am supposed to shift up, when to shift down and just how exactly i'm supposed to do it. I don't know how to tell if i'm doing it right, I am so used to automatic shifting that when I try to use manual I lock myself in neutral and forget that I have to shift. I know you explained it in the video, but I wasn't really able to quite understand. Like for me I need to know exactly what each gear does and what uses each gear needs in any scenario. I've never really driven any vehicle before manual or automatic due to my mental disorder so I just never learned how to understand a manual vehicle especially. It would be super helpful if you could make an in-depth tutorial on how to use manual shifting. Have a great day!!
That’s for the feedback mate, I was thinking of doing a beginner tips which covers not only gameplay but also motocross terms, theories in general. Maybe I’ll do it in that. Thanks for the comment mate 👍
@@pixelfodder No problem man. Like, i've been playing MX vs ATV since 04' and I have legit never learned how to play manual. To be honest, idk how I haven't really educated myself more with moto in general because I've been playing these games for 20 years LOL It would be super beneficial for me to be enlightened when it comes to lingo and general motocross knowledge.
Your sticks on the little controller thing weren't being picked up at all. For the whoops, sometimes I hold the left stick down and right stick down slightly as needed, depending on how you time it and the type of whoop
I know this is a bit of an older video now, but lots of these tips were super helpful, and I'm really excited to try putting them into practice! I did want to ask if you have any tips for scrubbing, specifically? I've been trying to use the inputs for the various types of scrubs, but I'm finding that I'm just turning off to the side of the jump while trying to scrub, and my rider isn't whipping sideways as quickly as you were in this video (or as I've seen in other tip videos) - it's a much slower rotation. I've tried using the same tuning as recommended, and have tried playing with the tuning, timing, etc, but I find that I'm just turning with the bike and flying off the track 9/10 times, still getting a whip in the air, but heading for the bleachers instead of the landing. Any ideas, tips, or insight into how to hit a straighter, faster scrub?
Hey mate you're absolutely right this video is getting a little long in the tooth now. My tune currently is -3 -3 +3 +2 +1 +3. Tuning 2.0 will be coming out soon so that might be the perfect time to redo this video which desperately needs to happen ASAP 🙏 Regarding scrubbing, try just holding right stick either left or right then as soon as you leave the lip pull down on the left stick. Lmk if this feel better to you but I'm still trying out a few things so it'd be good to hear your thoughts on it 👍
Can concur, and remember, smooth is fast. This game has a momentum like a flywheel that you can time to unload on different parts of the track, allowing new lines to be had. Keeping momentum is key, once it's lost, it can take a corner or two to get it back, then you can bomb that 5 pack again. Another Tip: Down Shift to 2nd (or 3rd) before the corner and use the rear wheel as a brake, in manual mode this helps so you don't have to downshift in the middle of the corner.
Will someone please clarify, if you were to race online with pro physics off and win against people with it on, is that a handicap or just a change in settings?
The recent meta was to turn pro physics off to help with consistancy but Season 3 is about to drop which will change how the assists are controlled in general.
Dude, for real thank you for taking the time to make videos that explain the game and what settings are optimal and how adjustments effect performance! You know,?like T͛H͛E͛ G͛A͛M͛E͛ DE͛V͛E͛L͛O͛R͛S͛ used to do.. LOL.. #MissSmallInstructionManuals
These mva tutorials never mention the more options that's available with the clutching system. Spamming the clutch boost button all the time is not the way.
@@pixelfodder No offensive, but you and the rest of the beta testing content creators might run to lenore to get it nerfed for the very few people who ride that way lol. It's been in the game since it's release, achieved between all clutch settings, and it's not a glitch. That I promise. But I'd rather keep my positions on the WR board atm. Just don't know why that no one has caught it. I'm with the "Honda and Clutch Boost on max is the only way to be fast" hype though!
Mate I don't know how you are so fast ive played this game for 3 weeks and NOT getting better. like in Capital City I can't even clear a triple. why do all you guys ride over whoops like they aren't there and stop in corners so hard but them come out of them INSTANTLY full speed. WTF I'm about to throw my Xbox in the bin. fucking SX is nearly Impossible for me the outdoors is fucking sick
@@pixelfodder ok but in the video the update for the new updated pro physics wasn’t released and wasn’t on the vid I was just wondering what ur sliders are set to
Its so much better then it was. Just wish we could get the scaling more real world. The bikes are way too fast. and the tracks are way way too big. You should never beable to jump 5 out of a corner.
Yeah there’s a balance for the dev in being authentic to the sport and an accessible arcade racer at the same time. On one hand I really like more true to life aspects of these games but also the relaxed nature of arcade can be fun. Maybe some options to turn off clutch boosting and other elements of the game would be good just to trial in online lobbies to encourage more realistic gameplay.
@@TommyToboggan611 yeah I like mx bikes too but you simply can’t simulate a sport that’s completely based on feel either. It does a good job with simulating gyroscopic procession and how it looks in first person but looks kinda goofy when watching replays back in some cases. Would like to see piboso work on making that better as it feels halfway cooked imo.
