This appears more protective than the standard cornbraiding which pulls and can still damage hair and scalp. We are some ingenious and innovative people!!! I love being black African!!
I remember this method, I use my hand to do it, I use this rubber that they normally used to plait hair to do it when I was still young, this is 1990s and 2000 hair styles and still looking very beautiful, you are so good ma
This was SOOO helpful! Thank you from Knoxville TN, US! I've never been able to cornrow and this seems so easy and practical for me. I think this style with keep my hair protected and I can try more styles!
I came here and subscribed straight away after seeing pple mentioning your name under another's video on how you introduced this hair style I greet you my sister
This is probably the coolest discovery for me this year. I'm always trying to improve my biracial daughter's hair with designs and I don't like doing too tight of braids on her. This is a game changer lol. Plus I get to use yarn and my mom use to spin it for her job so it makes me feel like I'll be using that specific brand in loving memory of her. Thank you!!
This is a lovely technique! I enjoyed the basic tutorial (not a fan of a lot of words and little skill). I can't wait to add this in for my clients! You do very good work Queen!!!❤❤❤❤
BLESS YOU FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL PROTECTIVE STYLE FOR MY LIL CHOCOLATE PRINCESSES I LOVE WEN WE SUPPORT AND TEACH ONE ANOTHER TO BE BETTER INSTEAD OF WHAT SOCIETY PUSHES ON THE MASSES KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GOD ALREADY BLESSING YOU😍💯
Ooohhhweee! That yarn braid was beautiful and looks like it has minimal tension! I'm so happy to try this💕 of course this style would come from the motherland! You ladies are our inspiration and coaches. Thank you for passing on the knowledge for free! #Amazing
Thank you for the really helpful tutorial. My adoptive daughters' hair is very different to mine and I am always looking for new hairstyles and techniques to learn, as I didn't grow up having these done.Doing hair is an important bonding experience for moms and daughters. Thank you for making it easier!
Man I been waiting for someone to come up with a way to do stich braided without actually braiding and here you are,I love it, you explain everything so detailed and I understand the assignment, thanks for sharing this for the people who want braids who don't know how, this is perfect.
I'm from Brazil and I"m really impressed with this technique! Congrats! I'm studyn on youtube because here we're don't have teachers or hair courses like this. Thank you so much for sharing! :-)
Oh my god! Thank you SO much - 8.5 years of doing my daughters hair and I am so excited to have something new for her (especially since she no longer wants "little girl" hair styles :) I have never been able to perfect cornrow braiding (always a disaster) but I think I can manage this! Thank you thank you thank you!
Hi Eve I did the flat twist version of this on my daughter’s hair and it was very nice but the parts went that good her hair is high density and I didn’t want to pull the yarn too tight how can I get neat parts in her hair without pulling too tight thanks your doing a great job and no you don’t talk too much God bless you 😀
Mine lasted almost a month. Well the yarn part lasted for a month. The top lasted about 2 weeks before it started to itch and you know how that goes! Lol! The next time I get it done I'm gonna ask her to do regular twist instead of the faux locks on top.
@@evemafupa Eva, did you say you were going to do a tutorial on doing the stitch braid on ones own hair? As in do-it-yourself. I would like to try it on my hair. Thank you
Beautiful. You are bringing back the style from way back - 1970s or ‘80s. Not so sure now. The natural hair movement will love this. Just wait until the style is discovered. I subscribed.
I already understand how to do the technique but I havn’t tried it yet. But this video w/ that pop’n pink yarn made it even clearer. As always ur the best 👍🏾
I like this demonstration 👍 So I can do my daughter hair when she wears her Mexican outfit for Cinco de mayo. She hasn't been able to wear it since we bought it because something alwayssssss happens. Someday I'll be able to have a beautiful picture of my babygirl in her Mexican outfit.
I've been curious about the style for YEARS and finally decided to look up to learn for my daughter to keep her front braids out of her face! Thank you! 🤗💚
@@evemafupa It didn't turn out as perfectly neat as yours but my 5 yr old still loves the pink in her hair and I know I will get better with time. So glad to have this skill thanks again 🤗💜
I was not born with the gift of braiding or styling hair. I can't dance either!!! What the hell happened to me!!! I don't feel like a whole black African woman 😑 and that makes me sad.
I love every bit of this video not many people can do actual stitch braids this is literally how to do actual stitch braids they’ve been doing this in Africa since before time ... it’s truly amazing how influential the culture of black people are but yet everyone acts as if this is the first time they’ve seen this is crazy how you copying / following something you don’t understand!
