Hey, I just watched this and it’s 1 am (lesson learned … DONT watch Eamonandbec “Freestyle Friday before sleep!” cuz now I’m so hungry! I’m salivating! This sounds so dang good! My tummy is growling…yikes can’t sleep. Seriously gunna try this tomorrow! Love all your recipes plus your both just so entertaining to watch.
This recipe has forever changed my life. It has the exact same taste and texture as the dairy product. Cream cheese has been the absolute, number one, hardest food to give up. I could cry I'm so happy about this recipe. 🧘🏼♀️😻🔮🌈
Does it really? Because I've made several "cream chesse" and I still haven't gotten that 'taste' like Philadelphia. Done it with Cashew amd Tofu but, does not come close to the actual cream cheese.
You’re making me realize that vegan food can be very flavorful and satisfying. I made your chickpeas salad AGAIN today. So far I’ve made it every week since your video! Keep the recipes coming!
I will totally make this! Instead of Coconut oil swap for Olive oil (Olive oil and lemon emulsify in the tofu so it will make it a bit creamier) and add like a tbsp of nutritional yeast for that cheesy taste. I would also swap the salt for some brags amino's.
doginmylense I normally don’t use coconut oil either as it’s so high in saturated fat. But I think the reason Lauren Toyota used it in the original recipe is because coconut oil solidifies at cool temps. That gives the cream cheese a nice spreadable density. Love this recipe!
I love your podcast. I absolutely can’t get enough. I left a review, which is saying a lot because I’m usually too lazy to leave reviews on anything. I’m so interested in getting into van life and it’s all thanks to ya’ll. I’m sending ya’ll happy thoughts and love from Texas❤️
Omg! I am in love with this recipe! Made it yesterday and my daughter thought it was hummus. This cream cheese is so addicting and super fast to make. Thank you for sharing!!!
I tried this recipe today, it really inspired me to really make something good instead of being disappointed of not being able to eat certain things as a vegan. I am just starting to be vegan again, after trying it years ago for 2 months and failing and turning into a vegetarian instead for the years following. I didn't have a lot of inspiring people around me and I was stuck with eating salads, never being full and missing so many things. Now I have started again by not buying any animal product myself. Only eating dairy or eggs when with other people. So at home I am only eating vegan now. The next step of course is to shift to being vegan completely. Anyway, you guys inspire me so much and your recipes are so appealing. I already made the chickpea salad, and even though I don't even like chickpeas this recipe has already changed my life. IT IS SO GOOD!!! The cream cheese for me needs a little work. I am happy for trying your recipe, it made me look for other cream cheese recipes and I am sure I am going to find the one that I really really like. I never thought I would eat cream cheese again, so this is already super great. To know that it is even out there! I used half the garlic you used ;-) but still it is too garlicky for me. But all good, I will try it again and make it perfect for my taste. You are doing great work. Please keep it up and bring those freestyle Fridays back!
I have an ancient food processor gifted to me by my aunt years ago. It's almost the same one! It is also broken in the exact same way so I have to use a knife every time I want it to work. it is a beast and I won't ever replace it until the motor blows on it. Love the new intro guys!!
My grandparents also still have their food processor which they bought sometime in the 1960s probably and it legit works better than ALL the new ones their offspring have!
I am so excited to try this! It is impossible to find a recipe for cream cheese, or cheese in general, that isn’t made with cashews! We use tofu for soooo many things because cashews typically have micro-molds so we just stay away from them. As a side note I personally haven’t seen GMO tofu in a loooong time for those worried about GMO soy and we get ours at Walmart. I’d still double check your packaging, but it’s more than likely not going to be made from GMO soybeans 😊 so don’t worry too much about it .
I switched to a Vegan lifestyle October 17/21 I got rid of MRSA I am so grateful,I already also dropped 14 pounds, I love creating so many different tasty dishes 🌸💗🌸 thank you for this awesome video
Ahhh I can’t wait to try this! I’m not vegan/vegetarian but I don’t eat dairy so I’m always looking for new plant based faux-dairy recipes. Keep em coming!!🙌🏼
Thank you for this recipe. I'm allergic to onions, and coconut (I think black pepper too). So I modify each time. This time I used basil, cilantro, and parsley (instead of dill), and grapeseed, and macadamia nut oil (instead of coconut oil) and a little cayenne pepper and Himalayan pink salt. Oh, and I used lime instead of lemon. OMG!
Oo! Like right after the announcer says Freestyle Friday but before the rap. Like cut audio and just a clip of him spilling and Bec's reaction. That would be hilarious/incredible!
Lovin it guys!! Everything your doing is awesome and so aligned. Crazy the connection you create with your audience threw your videos ❤️ lots of love from Ontario!
Love the intro video! I don’t think it needs tweaking, because that humor and “just slightly off” flavor is what is so great about the Eamon and Bec brand. You guys are authentic and real - and this intro video is exactly what we are looking for. Any flashier and it will be cheezy.
The intro is a great first draft and I’ve tried so many cream cheese recipes so excited to try this one. All the recipes I’ve tried from you guys have worked out great (especially the tacos) keep it up!!
I'm going to try the cream cheese recipe. I've been eating lots of the chickpea salad. It is so delicious!! In addition I have an old food processor. It is the best!
Not only can I not believe this was 3 years ago which means I have been watching you guys for more than 3 years, I also cant believe 2018 was 3 years ago. Wild.
Love the intro video ! I don’t even cook, but I always watch the freestyle Friday videos because it’s so entertaining.. and who knows maybe I’ll try one of these recipes soon 🤷🏻♀️
Ooo yes! I was just at the store looking for some creame cheeze for my son's school lunch that was nut free. You are awesome! This will be made this weekend!
I’m in my 50s and just bought nutritional yeast that I never even knew was a thing and it was good!! Thanks for helping even an older generation lean into vegan😊
I had nutritional yeast & use avocado oil instead of coconut oil. I like it on sourdough with avocado, alpha sprouts and micro cilantro with tomatoes. So yummy
Great video! Love your cooking shows. Recipes are fun, the food looks delicious and nutritious. I'm getting lots of inspiration and entertainment from your videos! Awesome job!
My favorite cheese recipe hands down!!! I always do this, but i feel like i need inspo on what to use it with.. i usually eat it for breakfast on toast with cucumber slices. It’s delicious. I might try doing a salad with it today
Totally enjoyed this video guys! Thanks for the suggestion...we've been vegan over 5 years and I feel stuck in a rut. Moving into our airstream as I type and I need some easier meals for this tiny kitchen we have now. Can't wait to try this one.
We enjoy you both so much! We’re vegans and love your recipes. I’ve made the smashed garbanzo salad many times now, tweaking it each time depending on what I’ve got. Thank you for inspiring me. One thing you might enjoy (and it’s SUPER good for you, including helping the body get rid of metals and toxins): Put one bunch each of organic cilantro and organic parsley in your Vitamix, add some ginger, lemon, nuts (walnuts or pecans - or whatever you like), salt and pepper to taste. Blend it and adjust the taste to please yourself. I know you like jalapeños so you can try that. Can use it on pasta, on a sandwich, etc. Thanks again for all the great recipes and laughs! 🙏🏻
Nice receipe! Btw I loved your vegan podcast. I was very interesting in how your journey began. It’s inspiring (I’m only 4 months in! ).Love your youtube/insta/podcast. content ❤️
I'm obsessed with making everything out of tofu lol. So far I have made chocolate pudding and ranch dressing with silken tofu. I found a recipe for queso dip with silken tofu I wanna try, and now this. I really like that it's really just protein. I love hummus but it does have a lot of carbs.
Love, Love, Love the intro! It’s fun, catchy, and I love that you keep it real I can’t do Soy it plays havoc with my thyroid. If I could I would make it in a sec it looks awesome.
You guys should switch the Blendtech blenders. They own Vitamix but with the blendetech there are so many different jars. They have a wicked awesome jar called the twister to blend up thick smooth items. Such as hummus, nut butters and cream cheese
Love the new intro! Cheesecloth would be great for drying your tofu. You can wash it, with very little water, and hang it up to dry for the next use. Love you guys!
30 seconds in and I’m already obsessed with your channel! You are living my dreammmm! (Soon to me manifested into my reality but for now it’s still in process)
i’m hooked on your channel, and for the first time in my life, actually drool over some of the vegan stuff you eat! problem is, being a type2 diabetic, a vegan/vegetarian diet does not fit well with my way of eating (woe). for example - hummus, chick peas, lentils, tofu, starchy veggies - are all big fat NO ‘s for me, as i’m carb-restricted AF. No wheat or wheat flour either- only almond or coconut flour try finding ready-made breads made out of almond flour 😕 well, love you guys, love your shows, so i will just LIVE vicariously thru you!
so i am making homemade pizza but didn't have any vegan cheese, really quickly found this video and OMG YOU HAVE CHANGED MY CHEESY LIFE!!! I also added in a little paprika and nutritional yeast and jeeeeez!!!!!!! you gottta try ...DROOLING
Absolutely loved the video, you're a riot. Had to watch it a second time with my wife. Bec's cute little laugh in the background tops it off. If my wife ate that much garlic she'd be sleeping on the couch lol. You guys are killing it, your video's are getting better all the time.
I use a fine mesh bag or nut milk bag to squeeze the water out of my tofu, providing i am using it crumbled or blended. For slices, I use a kitchen towel and sit cans from the cabinet on it for a half hour or so, so I can still slice or cube it for use. I saw they sell those fancy schmancy tofu presses, but who needs it?
I'm so glad I found this video. The cream cheese is legit! I liked it so much I made jalapeno poppers, I added imitation bacon bits to the top. It was delicious!
First I was out shopping for a Vitamix now I'll be hitting up those yard sales for my own 20 year old food processor to make this too! Loving the ideas
Another great one guys! Must try this so that we can get the kids off regular Cream Cheese. It’s the only Dairy they eat. Creative intro Eamon. Great job!
Omgosh!! I about died the intro was great! Go ahead and tweak but I lovved it. And this cheese sauce...... Mmmm can't wait to try it! I'm on a vegan journey with you!
I Love Love Love alllll your videos! I can’t understand why anyone would give ur vids a thumbs down but I am a HUGE fan of u guys! Ur videos make my day just a little better - thanks ✨❤️
