I have dark skin and hyperpigmentation. I have always been scared to try vitamin c because I don't want to risk any more hyperpigmentation if it oxidizes or burns (I live in sub-Saharan West Africa). You've definitely given me the courage to try some.
❤❤I’m alway one of the bitter end crew!! Xx I’m a vitamin C derivative girl all the way, been stung (literally!) with too many pure form vitamin Cs. Might try that Dr Sam’s one when I come home, it sounds divine xxx
Awww thank you so so much Jan... I love the Dr Sam one.. its a little pricy but I think its worth it.. I do wish I could get a discount code out of them though lol as I would be buying so much more from them lol xxxxx
I'm new to Rob's products. I'd previously purchased named brands that work, often with Rob's recommendation. But the beauty of Mad About Skin products isn't just that they work - the new peptide serum for instance, or the night oil, show positive results that draw comments - but they have a lightness to them. It is skincare for angels. Thank you Rob. I'm in debt. I didn't know I needed your products until I felt the impact. Keep up the great work.
Oh thank you so so mcc hun this comment brought a tear to my eye.. I am so delighted the proudest are working so well for you and thank you for your love kindness and support.. love xx
I’ve wanted to try it but it has retinol. Did you already use a retinol product before trying this ? I usually purge with retinol I haven’t worked myself up and I don’t want to dry out. I have dry acne prone aging skin .
@@angelac1453 The retinol in this formula is gentle (and encapsulated). It’s perfect for beginners and those with sensitive skin. It’s also formulated in a way that is not reactive to UV light so it can be used in the AM as well as PM.
🍊I’m currently finishing up with Maelove’s Glow Maker. It’s fine. I think the problem I have is noticing a difference. I realize fading my sun damage is gradual, so my skin has maybe (probably) improved over time…I just can’t tell if Vitamin C is doing it. Haha! I’ll keep using though! Thanks for the recommendations, it’s very helpful!
My pleasure hun and thank you so so much for watching.. I agree with you the results with most vitamin c is gradual so it can be hard to know how much its working.. love x
Oops I bought timeless 20% last night got shipped today waiting on delivery then watched this 🙈 it took me ages to decide on which one to buy 😅 whoops 😂
.One question Rob, are you going to renew the Maximum Impact moisturiser as this seems perfect with ceramides in. I hope so pretty please. Can't wait for the Got You covered.
♥ Thank you so much for this video, I absolutely love your content and I am learning so much! I am definitely going to try to get my hands on one of the "holy grail" products (I am in Australia, so sometimes it hard to get certain brands). I am feeling I am missing out on Vitamin C - my beautician recommended a Vitamin B serum instead. But I think I can use both ;). PS: Love that orange puffer ⭐⭐
🍊 I love Vit C! I have been looking for a new one as I've been using the ROC one, and I'm not impressed with it, and since I've changed my skincare routine to k-beauty over a year ago, I've been looking at k-beauty for one. Although I have heard a lot of great things about the Timeless Vit C. What are your thoughts, Rob? P.S. Thanks for the great video!❤
Thank you so much for watching hun, I would go for the timeless I think you will be really impressed.. I am a huge fan of korean skincare so if you want a korean one then the vegreen one is also great.. love x
Hi hun, I agree with you I think they are both on a par with each other.. for me the geek and gorgeous is easier to get here in the uk which is why I usually go for it but timeless is a great option too.. love x
I had been using one, even tried Dermatica but it was too sticky. I'm on a Dermatica skin treatment and they told me I couldnt use vitamin c. They said the same thing to me about using retinal. I'm finding the retinal is not causing irritation and is actually helping to improve things. I might look for a derivative one and start using it again.
I love the naturium one so much too... I am not the biggest fan of the cosrx one as it oxidised on me really quick but then I could just have got a bad batch.. love x
🍊💟 I'm just starting with the pure L Ascorbic Acid serums now and opted to begin wit a 5% because I have sensitive skin. Strangely enough I got a bit orangy stains and just where there was aleady some hyperpigmentation and age spots. The store doesn't believe me but my knuckels were really orangy looking. So I moved on to a second brand which seems to be okay. The dr Sam is much to expensive and I don't dare try a 20% serum. And Geek and Gorgeous are here in an online store but this makes the freshness questionable. I also tried the Glow Recipe toner with cloudberries but I don't like the product to be honest. It is drying on my skin.
@@MadAboutSkin I so hope Geek and Gorgeous find a more accessible distribution method for worldwide shipping. It costs three times more than the Vitamin C product itself to get it shipped to Canada :/. Otherwise I'd love to try it. x
I don't use vitamin C serum (except for Numbuzin 5 serum) because I have dry, sensitive skin and I love copper-peptide, which doesn't get along with vitamin C. As an anti-oxidant, I use Idebenone/ ectoin. As a collagen-generation booster, I use ectoin/DMAE. Can I call Numbuzin 5 as a vitamin C serum?
Can you use vit C if you have rosacea acne prone sensitive skin? Also I’m confused as to where you put in your routine. Does it go before peptides and can you use it along side azelaic acid? ❤
You can but I think a derivative would be the best.. start azealic acid first and then once you have used that some time introduce the vitamin c.. love x
Hi Rob, I hope you see this. I have asked your advice a few time. Anyways, any and all Vit C’s are making me orange. It never used to do that. Ir at least I didn’t notice. It’s almost like it has self tanner in it. I ordered the G&G I love love love the texture. However, I will be an umpalompa in the morning. What could it be? It’s not orange in the bottles. Maelove glow maker, same thing. Orange. 🍊 Idk 🤷🏻♀️
🍊 x 🍋... Rob, you're the one who recommended G&G vit c to me. I've been using it ever since. Still remember during your earlier days, where you recommended vit c and i was hesitant on using it. But hey, G&G vit c is a great product. ❤
I've tried many & have settled on the Melano CC it's inexpensive and I love the packaging, a squeeze tube that is hard to squeeze out, it has a little fragrance lemony but not strong.
🍊🍋🥝🍓😄Hi Rob, I use vitamin C for years, my mature and little sensitive skin don't love Ascorbic Acid and I prefer THDA. I just bought and I'm about to start using Peter Thomas Roth Power-C serum, what do you think about that? Thanks for the video and all the best! 🍊
Thank you so much for watching hun.. I love the PTR one but its a little on the pricy side for me.. that being said it has a great formulation so I think I need to give it a go. love x
Hi Rob, I just want to say Thank you for all your informative and up to date chats on skin care.I’ve just received your peptide serum and I’m wondering if you are thinking of formulating your own Vitamin C serum down the line. I use Boots Vitamin C and find it gives a glow to the skin!🍋🍋
🧡G&G🧡 and most of the time Numbuzin concentrated serum at the same time. And sometimes Allies of Skin mask ( serum is also ok, but it expensive and I dont like how thick it is).
Yay I am so so glad the geek and gorgeous is working so well for you.. I know what you mean about the allies one, I like the thickness but it isnt for everyone I totally get that.. sending you lots of love x
I agree with you the oil is a bit of a no for me.. there are studies which show oil based vitamin cs work better so I get why they did it but its not the best experience x
I love both but I dont consider the day dream serum a vitamin c (thought it has a good amount in it) but rather an all round serum.. I love it for the price point though.. love x
Your videos are my favorites ❤️ I would love to see a video with your ultimate skincare, if you need to chose your perfect skincare routine, with your favorite products of all times, doesn’t matter the price and doesn’t matter how many. Just pick everything you truly love and use in your perfect skincare routine. It would be amazing!
I had been using Sunday Riley CEO GLOW that i received in a gift basket. I loved it. But when I looked at repurchasing, I couldnt justify the expense. Also in that basket, i received a Tumeric superfood mask that u really like. Tu Mask, from dr botanicals i think... On your recommendation I purchased G&G C-glow instead. So far I'm really liking it(and the A-game)!
@@MadAboutSkin I switched to Niacinamide booster by. Paula's Choice and it's not causing any allergic reactions. It's definitely a better option for my super sensitive skin.
❤🩷💜💚Bitter end crew all the way! I need the “byeee!” at the end of your vids. I am still on the hunt for a vitamin c that I really like. I have a bottle of the Allies on my vanity, but Rob!! The smell! It feels great on my skin and I know it’s an amazing product, but hot dog water first thing in the morning is just…ew. I do like the Vegreen, so I may go back to it. I also need to try the G&G. I need to wait until I need a few more G&G products, so I get free shipping. 😁 Thanks for another great vid, Rob!!
