Question Is there a way to controll ytmusic over the voice assistant so that i can say "play my House music playlist" and it will play it without having configured it as an automation? Alexa is capable of that. Thabk you very much. Nice video!
As far as I know, you can't, the way that I configured something similar was creating a script that calls the playlist I use the most, and I created a custom action in Google Assistant for it, so I can execute it in a more natural way.
Does sonos allows you to create groups of players? If yes, that is the only way currently. Create a group, and select it. There are some limitations you need to have under consideration. The integration and the card can only do what it's allowed to them, wich is gathering the information from youtube music, show it, and send the url of X song to be reproduced on Y media player. But they don't have access to manage your media players group configuration. Some project that might be able to get that in the future, because of how it's built, is Music Assistant. They could manage to do this, because they do a software reimplementation of every media player, and the playback it done via it's own server (it doesn't send the url from youtube music to the media player, they download the song and create the stream itself that is sended to the media player). But currently this feature is still missing.
Hi. At first thanks a lot for your great tutorials! With this one, I've got a little problem. I installed the mini media player but when I try to add it to my dashboard I can't find the badge. What can I do?
Hi, thanks for your tutorial, I have followed all the steps but, when I try to install Polr-ytube-media-card in Home assistant I have thi message: "Repository pathofleastresistor/polr-ytube-media-card not found", any idea what could be the problem Thanks
amazing video I have a problem when try play music on my Amazon speakers i get an announcement form speaker "to send tts set public url in integration configuration" how i can fix this please?
I've got past that one as I added the public url into the Alexa Media Player integration, but still can't get music to play on the Echos as it says music can't be played over tts! How did you sort it out?
Great videos, very well presented, clearly narrated and easy to follow. My only criticism is that the pop-up window of you when you speak is a bit distracting. Perhaps it could sit permanently a bit smaller in the corner? Anyway, feel free to ignore me as I don't have >4000 subscribers ;)
Hey, thank you for the feedback. I’ve noticed that sometimes the pop-up appears for only a second, and it can be quite distracting. As a result, I’ve decided not to display it when my message is too short (I'm still getting the hang of it, bad habits are hard to break). After all, in such cases, it doesn’t really add anything meaningful to the video, so why bother showing it right? I’m hesitant about the idea of showing it permanently because half the time, I’m not sure what to do with my face while waiting for something to happen 😅
Ok so I did everything but have an issue when I add PoLR RU-vid Playing card. I have unknown error instead of home and searching for anything does not bring up anything. Thank you for your awesome work.
check the logs and if you found a bug, open an issue on the github page of the project. Mine is working normally, but each setup is different, so something might be happening on yours.
@@guylast9516 right... I should make a video about it. But in this case basically something related to the RU-vid music player integration, since the cars uses it's services to fetch information
@fixtse. Thanks. Yup you should. Edit: Ok so I don't think I have RU-vid integration added, didn't see you cover that. So am i mean to add it? I searched for RU-vid in logs and found nothing. Starting to think I am missing something.
