Ultra Bookshelf Speakers - REVIEW 

I got a pair just over a year ago and I can honestly say they opened my ears and musical pleasure. Probably the best Bookshelves I have ever owned. Thanks for this review

I love my SVS SB-1000 sub. Very compact. Paired it with my Elac B6.2 speakers - a match made in heaven. SVS makes great stuff.

Your diffusers look very cool. Where did you get them?

using the Ultra bookshelf for rear surrounds, and prime bookshelf for back surrounds, very happy with sound quality.

These need a revision from svs, beautiful looking speakers but for $1000 (pair) the holes on the baffle are ugly looking. They definitely need magnetic grilles for a cleaner look.

I would love to see a comparison between these SVS Ultras and the SVS Prime Pinnacles, as I've seen some reviews that prefer the latter (despite being cheaper)

Which Fluance turntable is that? RT81? Looks like you swapped out the stock cartridge for the Nagaoka MP-110, and it doesn't look like an acrylic platter, so I'm really just guessing. You should do a room tour of your personal gear.

I own the ultra bookshelves, and find them really nice sounding for music driven off HINT 6 integrated. Mine are paired with SB2000 subwoofer, yes they are analytical but not harsh at all and very enjoyable.

Where did u get those wall panels?? I really enjoy my svs satelites they are pretty stout even as a height channel well made exceptional quality and sweet warranty and upgrade options.

Getting 6 of these SVS Ultra Centers had turned out to be wholly impossible for me. I have a business & residential locations both in the USA and in Europe. In the U.S. I cannot get them, because the SVS store front is not even accessible to me when browsing their site from Europe where I am now. Also, none of the larger U.S. authorized SVS dealers are permitted to ship SVS products outside the country. In Europe I cannot get them, either. SVS has a presence in Germany, but (a) they only carry the Prime-series and not the Ultras and (b) you have to be a resident of Germany to order from them. I am not even in Germany, so that was that. I was referred to an outlet in Hungary to get them, nothing going. Also, SVS does not even have a service center in Europe. So, whereas I must believe that SVS Sound is a good Hi-Fi speaker and subwoofer brand, if it is this difficult just to get their products, maybe I should look elsewhere.

Thinking of pairing these w/ Marantz Model 30 for a dedicated vinyl setup. Thoughts in general? Sub or no sub for vinyl focused setup?

I have been happy with my SVS Ultra bookshelves. They are working well with the addition of an SVS SB-1000 sub. The nice gloss white cabinet has prevented damage to my marriage.
