I don’t fish for bass solely because there is none in the ears I live by I’m a huge walleye fisherman. I use a spinning rod for certain things like pulling jigs are raps, but bottom bouncers and cranks are always on baitcasters for me.

I have a cadence 500 series on a 7’0 ultralight and it’s in the kayak with me everytime I go out. I refer to it as my “skunk buster” many bream, perch, and juvenile striper have been caught on that combo. Absolutely love it
