I have been watching this series and I love them. I have to say though that this interview was the one that I felt was most relatable to me. I have such a busy life and I hate strength training. I thought I had to do a lot of strength training to run an ultra. I am still at the beginning of my journey. I have just been trying to walk 5 miles a day, with at least 2 of those miles being a walk jog regime. I am 50 years old and overweight and beginning my journey. At this point, I want to just be able to survive a half marathon !!
I’m happy you’re enjoying the series, and that this one spoke to you especially. There are many options in training, not everything applies to everyone. If strength training isn’t calling to you now as you work towards your first half, that’s totally fine! Keep doing what you’re doing! You’re awesome!
