im never gonna give you up never gonna let you down never gonna tell a lie and desert you never gonna make you cry never gonna say goodbye never gonna run around and hurt you
Its simple: make an object, mark it as parriable Then Rotate parried object to looking vector Heal player Activate effects Do specific things about certain parrible object. How it works Remove checking if the object is parriable Object will rotate to looking vector Heal, sound and flashing are here Specific things... Well, I cannot tell exactly how it works here. With projectiles it does work(probably specific function to use with objects having physics) , with non-projectiles it doesn't or kinda that
i played a mod a couple weeks ago where you can actually parry everything, yes even the air. but for some reason, punching made the framerate plummet. i have a 3070 and 3 punches slowed it down to single digit frames, and the added lag didn't disappear so its better this way.
this was fun to code when i made it because i was doing the worst horrible way then i realized in the code for the parrying in ultrakill i could had just removed the check, i will never get those 5 hours back again.
I believe the reason the hitbox is desynced with the flesh prison and certain other enemies is because they don't have bones that the hitboxes are attached to but rather are placed stationary in the level or follow the same movements as the enemy (such as the eyes summoned by the flesh prison). This would cause a desync between the models location and the hitboxes location when parrying since parrying causes the parried thing to shoot back when parried and this desync would make it seem like the enemy became invulnerable. This also explains why Minos Primes legs and arms went out so far because the hitboxes are attached to the bones are moving said bones, therefore stretching out the parts of the model that the bones are attached to. So it's not the mod that is broken but rather it is just a result of how 3D models, hitboxes and Unity works. There is an easy fix to this which is just giving a single bone to static/unboned models and attaching the hitbox to said bone but that can come with performance issues and would modify the game far more than necessary for a gimmick/shitpost mod. And of course a disclaimer: this is based off of my very limited knowledge of 3D models, ULTRAKILL's 3D models and Unity so it may be wrong but this is the best explanation I can give.
so the thing about this is that it lets you parry any unity game object, and the joints of many things are unity objects. so you can just kinda use your parry as that one medieval torture method
Thanks for the new background at the end, also V1 has became far more than a Supreme Machine, there is a reason why every machine fights V1, because they are jealous of him.
