I have a personal better idea for a rouge-like ultrakill: You start yourself with the piercer+feedbacker and unlock 1 weapon/variant per start level with the player being able to choose a level that gives specific weapons/variants and all levels having randomized rooms with specific enemies of progression like the first level is 7-1 with easy enemies and different level layouts, then the next level is 4-2 and continous with every level being LINEAR progression until you reach to a boss with similar layout as an ultrakill Act. Example: 1st layer 7-1 - 2 weapons (piercer+feedback) 4-2 - 1 weapon/variant (attractor) 5-3 - 1 weapon /variant (freezeframe) 2-4 - after boss unlock weapon alternative set or unlock 1 arm 2nd layer (harder enemies) 2-1 2 weapons/variants (core eject) 1-2 1 weapons/variants (marksman) 7-3 1 weapons/variants (malicious) 4-4 after boss unlock weapon alternative set or unlock 1 arm 3-1 1 any weapon/variant (jumpstart) 6-2 before the fight (you can sacrifice a weapon for another (like replace piercer with electric or s.r.s or sharpshooter) The challange is to choose the level that is available with the weapon you want and manage your limited roster to beat the mode, harder enemies will be deployed depending on difficulty ofcourse, even replacing bosses like instead of gabriel, its minos prime. This took me 1 hour to think about.
This mod is super fun but it's also very buggy, the meter on the left of the screen completely disappeared for me, sometimes the wave doesn't end even tho there aren't any enemies left, and a Gabriel with radience spawned for me even tho I didn't choose the Gabriel card and that happened like 4 times. I hope those things get fixes There's also a card that makes it possible for you to pro boost your shotgun core eject with the knuckle blaster air blast and GODDAMN does it does damage.
Sick video! Honestly surprised that it actually works for once. Btw, you can also just click the upgrade name in the config and once you close the menu, it will give you a levelup screen with that upgrade.
they fighteatchother and there is a "ULTRA NUKE" that makes your explosions a LOT bigger as long as you have ULTRAKILL rand and "PARRY THIS YOU CASU" that makes clones of homing projectales when parryed or even PROJECTILE BOOSTING, i straight up can just nuke a guttertank with lvl 2 PTUS (parry this you casu) and melt trugh insurrectionists esaly!
I also discovered there's a upgrade called "Weapon Platform". It spawns a levitating cube on which every wave spawns one Rocket launcher from Benjamin's security system(they're stackable). They'd target the player but if player having 50 or less HP, it'd target the enemies. This shit is wild af. Also I learned to parry filth.
the damage numbers REALLY sell this madness the random upgrades like nuke from orbit and a lot of the damage buffs are pretty balanced given that you have like 500 weapons in ultrakill and then there's the silly goku stuff and gabriel upgrades (i wonder how this would play in a campaign. i assume it would work but it'd be pretty hard to upgrade between levels...) sick video tho :D
can you try my swordsmachine one-shot? parry + screwdriver + feedbacker punch / corkscrew blow + magnet next to it + a bit of sawblades = swordsmachineisgon
It’s just an idea that I have but it would be kinda intresting if instead of having you level up while you are still in the cybergrind and have every weapons and variants, you begin with a simple piercer revolver and every 5th or so waves there is the elevator/end level exit where you go down that lets you buy upgrades and different weapons based of the style points you earned. It would be more roguelike-ey but still, the mod is absolutely bonkers
