If the first one is missed, or does not target maurice themself. - The fistfull of chargeback can be caught when the coin is tossed up too. - Dashbacks are useful for underwater chargebacks - whiplash'ed coins can make cool chargeback setups - Slingback is another variation of a lashback where you whiplash to Maurice, jump over/thru them and toss a coin up. The beam cannot directly hit you, and it will hit the tossed coin instead. Toss them left, then right, even launch one into orbit with KB, just make sure one catches the beam, and you will be rewarded a lightshow of a chargeback. I think it stands to the absolute mechanical depth of this game that a move that most players won't even discover by themselves has so much nuance. I've yet to incorporate chargebacks into my gameplay since I find the precise setup is a bit too time consuming for my playstyle, especially because I like to let malicious faces vibe around for a bit and clean up some of the smaller enemies before I take them out. I don't personally have much reason to go out of my way to kill them quickly, even in the coolest method imaginable.
Literally bought Ultrakill 24 hours ago. I didn't even start the second act yet but i feel like i'm gonna want that whiplash very soon... Amazing video! I will style on bloody corpses as soon as i have the skills thanks to you.
seeing cybergrind footage without music is like eating a biscuit by itself. It's not necessarily evil, it's just like... why? add some gravy or some chicken or something!
one small thing about the vertback, you don't need to stand still to land it, just have to make sure that you stop holding any movement keys after you jump :p
From what I know vertback can be done at any time, any speed, you just have to throw straight down. I haven’t tested, but I have never missed a chargeback when I throw down, because from what I know the coin is always at your position, and that’s where Maurice aims

With the new update allowing you to juggle coins with the grappling hook, you can chuck a coin at Maurice mid charge then right as he's about to shoot; grapple the coin so it bounces up right into his face. Sorry if the explanation sucks lol. Amazing video!
eternal gratitude upon thee! i'm on my first playthrough and God Damn The Sun is the only level I can't manage to get anything more than a B rank on, mostly because of the excessive amounts of Maurice per square centimeter in this level. I'll go back to it and try this >:D

(14:07) I was watching this with Minecraft beta 1.7.3 running in the background waiting on grass to grow (literally, I want grass in my underground bunker and silk touch doesn't exist here) and at this timestamp that one calm song that sounds like bells chiming started playing lol.
I'm not sure if this would be practical or of someone has done this before and I'm not even sure if it's possible but I've thought of using the jackhammer to boost yourself upwards and flick a coin into the beam a "jackback" maybe.
was really worried that the whole guide was only about basic chargebacks, those 1st 10 seconds were reassuring. Did stay tho bc i found out there were more then just basic chargebacks. Great guide overall 9/10
I desecrated his corpse properly. Anywho, I'd like to note that, given V2 uses coins and a revolver, and the sentries snipe you with a hitscan laser, I think you can hit them with chargeback too.

@@GHyzeso that's one more reason it's a little more practical, cause if you mess it up you can still get enormous damage with railguns. good thing I'm trash at chargebacks and would rather parry those projectile bursts
Ok but can you autonuke off of the malicious beamers from the Flesh Prison fight? Sounds like a good way to get rid of them when railgun is on cooldown since their beam is identical to Maurice's and can be chargebacked
I really hope someday there’s a way to play like multiplayer ultrakill, imagine how cool it would be to parry your opponents shotgun, or chargeback their railcannon (although, I suppose hitting the coin would convert it to theirs as it does in the second v2 fight) but still, all this tech I wanna kill somebody with it
as someone with all but the most batshit insane achievements in HK, becoming an ultrakill player, I can confirm my skill is nothing compared to these people
