Fun fact: in the description of the turret it is told that machines normaly render the enviroment they're seeing in low quality to save memory, so V1 looking in a really low poly broken way can perfectly be canon.
did a little challenge myself where I started a new save turned everything to the lowest possible setting and each level I finished (plus when I P-ranked+challange) would allow me to increase one setting up by one slot upward (or 50% for dithering or 20% for texture warping). was quite fun although a bit painful to watch when not everything was pixels, but modern art was still on. footnote: i counted the secret levels and the movement tutorial as levels too.
fun fact: in the lore it says that v1 has a more simple point of vision while sentry got the 8K HD Full cuz he needs it for sniping, so the way this video shows the grafix its the cannon vision of v1
It actually helps to turn the resolution down and decrease the size of the window in order to get the pixel density closer to normal, which is easier to interpret.
In lore, the low graphics are actually canon. Most machines render their surroundings as simply as possible to leave RAM for reflexes and decision making, except for sentries, who render all the details for greater accuracy. I wonder how fast V1's mind is able to compute things when they look like THIS?!
Apparently the sentries have a better camera and fully render their input video for perfect accuracy, in contrast to most hell robots only rendering the essential. This is my fuel for my theory that ultrakill looks like that because v1 sees it like that, the sentries most likely seeing the closest to reality
