That reveal at the end where the music comes in and you see Gabriel before the angel masses... fucking God tier.

I love how Merg went from not reading the terminals at all and just saying "yeah, kill" to being completely invested in the lore LOL

the best part of watching ultrakill videos is being able to watch whoevers playing improve over time that and watching them get CRUSHed by the more difficult bosses

To Merg asking if Gabriel is the protagonist now, in the trivia about V1: "From a writing standpoint, V1 is not the main character of ULTRAKILL; it's just exceptionally lethal."

You've probably been requested this alot, but there is a secret level if you P-rank all the levels in the first act, after which you can find the secret entrance in the first level of gluttony, i don't want to spoil you much, but it's absolutely amazing, also banger video :-)

at 1:40, you can see that Merg gets the "Mauriced" score multiplier, meaning that those two Malicious Faces were actually so close together that killing one caused it to fall into the other and instantly kill it man, this game is silly sometimes

there are also 2 secret bosses for each act(except prelude). To get to the bosses u need to P rank every level in the act. To get a P rank u need to beat the lvl with: S time, S kills, S styles and NO restarts. If u gonna continue playing Ultrakill after this video, good luck on those bosses ; )

Ah yes, Merg vs The Prostate of Hate

the spoiler characters in the talk room are actually some things that you are yet to discover! This has been my favorite Ultrakill playthrough in 3 years, can't wait to see you play act 3 eventually!

In this fight you actually realize that V1 is the antagonist of all the ULTRAKILL lore, and Gabriel is the ACTUAL protagonist of the game

Damn Gabriel is so cool, also his voice actor knocked it out of the park for the second boss fight, the perfect combination of anger and grief.

I LOVE watching players discover Ultrakill. There's always something about everyone's reaction that makes me smile. It's alway the summit of them discovering a new cool weapon or tech, their reaction of entering a new layer of Hell and seeing the always changing level design and their adrenaline when they fight a boss or miniboss. It's a game full of many "holy shit" moments, big and small, and people have the best reactions when they play it for the first time

Heresy is the first layer with stereotypical hell, and I love the way it goes from “limbo - Green, pretty” “Lust - beautiful cityscape” and all the other relatively earthly looking layers to this

Gabriel boss fight is probably the coolest boss fight that I’ve seen since a bit. It was so epic. Edit: Btw the amount of Easter eggs in the credits are just insane

hey merg, a small tip for you: instead of continously reading comments, you can click the info button on a weapon's page in the terminal, apart from a bit of trivia and lore it also gives you a bunch of tips and advanced techniques that you can use. you WILL need it for layer 3 and 6 secret levels...

I feel like ultrakill is the perfect mix between story and cathartic violence, like sure most of the time you just need to kill weird things, but the rest of the time you get to see the story, and like, it’s mixed so well!

If you did not know, the Mysterious Druid Knight (or Mandalore) that you saw in the Credit Museum is a joke boss that can be found in level 3 of Greed, there’s no requirements to actually get to him so that’s why he is not spoilered, and also because he has no impact to the lore. You do however have to find him.

Gosh darn it I'm late for ultrakill, i was eating dinner! Really excited for the Act 2 finale. Edit : I love how scary the final levels of the acts are, (not as scary as 1-S ). It's a big contrast with the previous layers and makes things serious. Edit 2:The museum is SOOOO COOL more games should have something like this!

Hey Merg! Glad to see you were able to beat the (current) final boss! I wanted to leave something here for a thing that you can still do in the game. P ranks. Simmilar to Pizza tower but a lot more forgiving. Basically Get all of the ranks in the level end screen to S and dont die during the level. (You can press and hold tab to see your current stats in the level) (you can double tap Tab For it to stay on your screen permanently) P.S If you get all the P ranks in Act 1. Look for a Secret Door. Hint: Staircase room.

Merg is now done with the base game (for now) so now you can do the post game, if you get a s in everything on a level, with no restarts. You get a p rank, on 3-1 and 6-2 is a p rank door, which opens a surprise when you get the p ranks. For the first door, you need to P rank prelude and act 1, for the second, you need to fight the boss from the first door and get all p ranks on act 2.

in case you didn't know or forgot, parrying gives a health boost up to where your hard damage is at, as well as a full stamina boost, so parrying attacks is how to keep your health up during a fight if you are unable to get close

Some tips for later fights: Try practicing the tips and tricks we tell you about in Sandbox, you can spawn any enemy and power up. Parries restore Health AND Stamina. I recommend sliding more. Most attacks can be dodged by sliding letting you save Stamina for attacks you need to dash from. It’s also faster then V1’s walking speed. Shooting the Blue Shotgun’s Core/Grenade with the Red Railcannon will cause a huge explosion. This will make a later secret boss much easier. Magnets also attract Rockets. Swaping between both shotguns variants after firing is faster then waiting for the green shotgun to pump. You can hook the cannonball. You can parry the canonball when firings similar to the shotguns. I hope these tips help you for your final adventures in hell

Gotta appreciate Gianni Matragrano voice acting Garbiel My man even did a full playthrough of act 2 acting as a Gabirel v-tuber, voice acting, staying in character and all, for FOUR HOURS (the one time he cracked and couldn't stay in character was when a viewer donated and said "Obama.") By the way, I can see you're getting more and more comfortable with some mechanics and you're trying to incorporate them in your gameplay, nice !

Dear Merg, when learning boss patterns always check out the "flashes" a yellow flash means its a parryable attack and a blue flash means that attack is unparryable. And all non-hitscan(beams lasers etc...) attacks can be deflected back to their attackers. This is VERY important for an upcoming boss if you explore the game enough.

YESSSS I JUST COULDNT WAIT AND ITS ALREADY HERE! LOVE IT! Secret bosses (I won't do any major spoilers, don't worry. Just some subtle hints since you missed them). I tried to make it the least spoiling as possible while still hoping to aim you in the right direction, so you can enjoy it and have a real "first time" impression. Anyways, here they are: ??? #1: In 4-3 A SHOT IN THE DARK - There's a cracked wall somewhere. Find it. It will also give you a hint for where to unlock an alternate variant you missed. ??? #2: Unlike ??? #1, this boss is less meme and more of a lore and general game boss. In 3-1, BELLY OF THE BEAST, in the area where there are many bone bridges and stuff, there is something. try to look for it. ??? #3: Like ??? #2, this is also a "must play" boss. You will find it in (the best level) 6-2, before Gabriel fight but still in the entrance room.

Gabriel's second fight is where you accept Ultrakill as "The Masterpiece". But that video... is where you start questioning your entire life. I did, at least. I got so broken, yet so hopeful...

Hey merg Shooting your shotgun core (the bomb) with the malicious railcanon is a perfect trick to use for crowd management. It's also very satisfying to pull off. Also The rockets riding is very useful for going somewhere far fast or escaping from dangerous areas. You can also steer the rockets like a car with WASD keys.

That was amazing . I do suggest to slide to sides when fighting some bosses or enemies more often as its more consistent to not get hit, its a really good way to bully Gabriel xd. Cant wait for you to do secrets of Act II and find the Last "Secret mission " in Act I somewhere in Gluttony layer.The voice actors that were hidden because of spoilers arent from Act III btw. ♥

Ultrakill is insane in the way it's story is told Literally everything you see in the game is a fait accompli. Mankind is already dead, Lust is being destroyed by the corpse of King Minos, Greed is captured and rebellion suppressed, and the River Styx has become an ocean. And you are but one of many machines marching down, looking all around you. In this, Ultrakill is similar to Dark Souls. And at the same time, the game has a full story, but it's about Gabriel, and in fact the whole time you're playing as his opponent. And in fact V1 doesn't have any goal that he wants to achieve. He just goes for blood on instinct and that's it. This is the most bizarre and unique kind of villain in the game with the most bizarre and unique narrative.

You can already tell how based Merg's favorite enemies are, the fact that it's Gabriel and the Mindflayer is just based just like the UK Community.

Merg you GOT to look up the prime sanctums ! It’s special super hard levels that require you to P-Rank the entire corresponding Act to access ! There’s one per Act, P-1 and P-2, they have some of the best OST no questions asked and are tightly linked to the lore.

Gabriel's dialogue kinda reminds me of the dialogue before Undyne the Undying.

Hopefully we'll see you do the Prime Sanctums one day, those are the best levels in the game, at this point you probably already know how to unlock them, but all I can say is that they're worth it

Great job making it past Gabriel! I would recommend a play through of the violent difficulty because I find it is different enough to warrant a second run. Also there is a secret door in the first level of the gluttony layer which has some pretty cool stuff. Great video and have a nice day!

Now that you've beaten acts 1 and 2 of Ultrakill, I think it is time for us to let you know. There are 2 final challenges to face in each act, the secret levels of the last layers, the prime sanctums.

here's a tip: if you're using the sharpshooter revolver if you shoot the red orbs from maurice as he shoots them out you can insta kill him :)

Merg there are 2 bosses kind of hidden in the game. 1st one is locked behind a gate that requiers all levels of act 1 to be P ranked. the 2nd one is the same but with levels from act 2. They are hard but oh boy are they worth it Edit: also the spoiler boxes next to gianni are the people who voiced those two bosses Show more to see where the gates are: the P-1 gate (aka the first one) is in 3-1 in the many stairs room. there is a pathway thats not connected to the rest. follow it. P-2 you were actually right next to it. its in 6-2 (aka the gabriel rematch) there were two of these tight halls. you went into one and fell through the waterfall ( 15:59 ). on the other side theres another one. go there. quick info tho. NOT THAT BIG SPOILER!!! ----> The 2nd prime sanctum (or the 2nd gate level) has a very hard arena section before the boss. so be ready
