AlanMcMichael My little angels! Unless they're too busy being little devils ;) Thanks, I'll pass your compliment on to my first born, Ila. They always love watching and learning and now some doing, Emma loves starting the fires :/ Thanks Allen
Wow, you are one very blessed man. You have an awesome family and you are enjoying each others company. God has blessed you tremendously. Thanks for the video and sharing your time with the rest of us.
I have to thank you for introducing the Swedish fire torch way of cooking, it has been the best thing for using these portable wood stoves to their maximum potential. It also makes a great camp fire as you've shown. Thanks again Steve!
Bob Wampler My pleasure! Yeah, I think the Swedish Fire Torch method is a game changer! To cook for up to an hour without tending the fire is AWESOME! Thanks Bob!
Great meals for the family. It great that the entire family goes hiking. Beautiful country to hike and explore. Be safe out their. Enjoy your videos and adventures
Man, Steve, you even make the family pooch carry a pack. A nice way to "even" the load among the ENTIRE family. All that food looked good! Your girls were so cute drinking their hot Chocolate; noticed that one of your daughters has a pretty good singing voice as well. P.S. Love that little Nano Stove in the Swedish fire torch configuration.
Good idea for using the firebox for a Swedish torch. I had been putting the wood in the bottom of the box but I like this idea better. Love the videos. Gives me ideas for my upcoming camping trip.
Awesome! But there you go making me hungry again ;) Great looking family Steve, thanks for sharing! I have absolutely fallen in love with my Nano. It's a great little product.
Feral Woodcraft Thanks Joe! It's a simple little thing, but sure is versatile and easy to use. That Swedish method is really proving its self huh? I love it!
+Robert Owens Only because it is easy! Laughing, okay, I've had some practice. Lots and lots of stove testing really pays off when it comes to camp cooking.
daddated1 I couldn't be happier with the cooking performance of the Swedish Prefueling Method in the Nano, it provides such a nice long lasting consistent temperature. Without tending a fire! Thanks Ted!
have a used a firebox for the past three years or so. has been a great, great camping tool. fast, easy to use, have used it in summer, and winter, even for a heater. never used the nano but i bet its just as good. thanks for your product.
Great stuff Steve, the Nano at 4oz is very appealing. When roasting corn I peal back the husk remove as much silk as i can fold the husk back and put it on the coals I think it imparts a better flavor to the corn. Thumbs up!
Love the video! It doesn't look like you cooked your tortillas! Cook em next time. It's a pet peeve of mine seeing people eat uncooked or cold tortillas! LOL looks like you all had alot of fun!
The best way to butter a ear of 🌽 I ever found is to butter the heck out of a slice of fresh bread then grip a cooked hot ish ear of corn & roll it till You get the desired effect . This works great .
Daaamn Steve, those were some big ass steaks! Everything looked delicious though, and I swear you have a cheese obsession :P P.S. You have a beautiful family :) Baby Luke at the end with the backpack looked adorable.
That’s awesome I just got my nano today to go with my bigger 5” box but the nano will go in my fire pack so I can cook up better food for the crew then just mre’s all the time won’t be steaks but still cooked food is always better
Steve, Again - another great video and love the Greensleeves sound track in the background:) The nano continues to be an amazingly versatile stove - one that I will ultimately get - just a bit difficult to find one in The Netherlands without resorting to eBay or somewhere. Houston in October so will get one then:) On a completely tangent - whats with the dog backpack? It's brilliant. Where did you get it and what are your experiences with it? How does the dog cope? And - how about how you did that corn? Many thanks Chris
nice video, deff ordering a nano now . I was into the xl firebox stove before, now I want the nano too. I really like the torch technique . I also like the firebox better than the bush box cause of the way it looks and folds. quick question is the firebox stainless steel? do you guys have any plans to make a xl version in titanium ? thanks again and great video!will be ordering a firebox very soon! beautiful children too!
+Jimmy Russell To me they're just the west mountains, I don't know the actual name, small range in the center of the UT, Whales Canyon. Very nice local spot!
We are a family of 5 and I am looking for a new cook stove for backpacking. I'm really not interested in the loud Pocket rockets and other MSR stoves..... Not sure what to get.....until now! Been eying your stoves for a while now - B
***** I think the Nano is a great choice, It's super simple design is really versatile, it's built to last and it's very light at 6oz for SS and 4oz for the Ti. Wood, Alcohol, Gas or Esbit and works well with both small or large cookware. Thanks!
Lellobeetle Thanks for asking, we're in central Utah in a beautiful high desert valley surrounded by fun mountains. Most of my video's are shot just minutes from home.
Lellobeetle It was there waiting for me just like the fuel. I didn't even look for it, rather when I looked around for a good spot to start cooking, there it was.
MikeSr39 It's a little spot up Lavan canyon, we get there from our side of the mountain up Wales canyon starting in Sanpete County central Utah. Thanks for asking!
