Fun fact about Spacium ray and other ultraman ray effects : It was drawn Frame to Frame by an old man who worked in Godzilla movie, he couldn't take credit cuz toho said "You can't work for anyone else but us and you can only make stuff for Godzilla FOREVER" so he secretly help tsuburaya when he asked the old guy about ultraman's special effects in the 90's, the old man did get paid but secretly ofc, he is alive still today and hand drawn the spacium ray effect for shin ultraman

Nexus will always be my favorite Ultraman, but the original will always be my second favorite. I never understood why as a kid until I watched Shin Ultraman where I found my answer: it was what he represented. To understand what I mean, you need to take a look at another of Eiji Tsuburaya’s greatest works: Godzilla. Godzilla represents the hopelessness and despair of mankind’s follies, our worst traits that ended up with nuclear weapons creating something even worst to punish man for our sins against the Earth. Godzilla is the symbol of mankind’s negative traits that will comeback to haunt us. He is the beast that reminds us of our horrible past. On the other hand, Ultraman represents humanity’s potential and hopes. He was an alien being who felt guilty for accidently killing an innocent being and merged with him to save him, but in his time on Earth, he came to cherish humanity and despite seeing our negative traits, he saw our potential to being like his kind and was ready to give his life to protect us, our future and our hope. Ultraman was a beacon of light that showed what humanity could become and gave us hope. He is the selfless hero who represents humanity’s potential future.

A story of my first reaction to the show : i was watching an anime, and when it ended I was ready to close the TV but ultraman came on and i was like the title seems interesting lets check it out and I was shocked how good the show was so from then on i never missed one episode and I will never regret that decision i fact its the greatest decision I've ever made! :D

Tsuburaya Productions should feature the son of Ultraman. Ultraman Zero and Taiga are so overpowered.

Ultraman might be not as skilled as any of his brothers in arms like Seven, Taro, or Leo. Not as powerful as any new generation Ultras nowadays. But let's be honest. Without him, every Ultras will never recognize and acknowledge as warriors of light and justice. He create his own legacy and were carried on by every Ultras that either or neither knows him. That is our original Ultraman!

Love this theme. Nice tribute video! It reminds me why Ultraman was/is special and is still relevant today. I've seen other Ultras -- Ultraseven is another favorite -- but that original character with his design is the one that still stands out most to me.

自分は帰って来たウルトラマンが生まれて初めて見たウルトラマンで初代ウルトラマンとウルトラセブンは小学生の頃再放送で見た。新マンの中で初代ウルトラマンはセブンと共に登場してナックル星人に捕まった新マンを救った。その後、エースとタロウにも兄弟達と共に登場した。この初期二作品の成功が今のウルトラマンシリーズの土台になっていることは間違いないだろう。ウルトラ兄弟は自分達の少年時代に多くの夢と希望を与えてくれた。

Thankfully, we need Son of the first Ultraman for very next year. His son is Noble, Passionate, looks like his father. First Ultraman's wife will be in for very next year as support character and hopefully she will be voiced by Ai Kayano.

I needed to listen to this theme multiple times (which is not a bad thing) to realize the first line "The mark on his chest is a meteor" is talking about the SSSP members not Ultraman

In fact, the first and third parts of the song are mostly about Katokutai (SSSP), and only the last part is about Ultraman. Therefore, the meteor symbol on his chest, the fact that he shoots his enemies with his jet, which he is very proud of, and the fact that he is an expert in killing monsters all refer to Katokutai (SSSP).

Now we have five phases of ultraman 1.the a type phase (the first ultraman suit) 2.the b type phase (more smoother than the a suit) 3.the c type phase (the suit we know and love) 4.the umtm (ultraman mebius the movie) phase (this is from another dimension where mirai (mebius) teleported to where he met daigo (ultraman tiga) and his friends and in the final battle shin hayata turned into ultraman but with a wrinkly face (maybe its a tribute to the a type suit).) 5.the shin phase (the new ultra-star in the new movie shin ultraman. He is taller,has no color timer and has the elf boot type legs like the fake ultra has. The movie is said gonna release in summer this year)
