What differs Nexus from all other Ultraman is that the dunamists are spending their own life force everytime they transform into Nexus, and what's more is that if they get injured in Nexus form while fighting space beasts, their actual bodies gets injured as well. That's why we don't see Nexus has frequent flashes of light or "three-minute rule" like other ultraman, because if that light on the chest actually starts blinking, that means the dunamist is probably on the brink of death.
Nexus is one of few ultraman that doesn't affected by 3 min rule, though he does have that rule when he fights in meta field, because the field is literally his own life force (the only exception to this is Ren).
Tsurbaya should make another type of series like this, it’s more realistic and actually shows how the host struggles at being an ultraman, it’s probably the darkest series among with UltraSeven X, or Ultraman Leo, but Nexus is probably the darkest one, and realistic one. The monsters actually look terrifying and the antagonist is an ultraman which we all need, and a good antagonist. But tsurbaya doesn’t make much profit from making an adult/teen series so it’s understandable but one I hope they start making more of these
This is one of the reasons why they were lacking budget after this series, it was supposed to be longer, but for the budget reason it was forced to shortened, so there probably won't be anything like this anymore
and the visual effect is also pretty decent for its time. One of the detail is the sonic boom when nexus break the sound barrier when he sped up. You will never see something as enthusiastic as this nowadays.
@Abinanta Maheswara The thing that makes it different, is that the hosts body physically becomes Nexus which means they can feel the pain from every attack as an Ultra. Unlike others who's body only inhabits and controls the Ultra and then gets really tired after defeat. Makes their comeback feel more heroic.
And the fact that he fought a whole minute while completely devoid of light. He was dead on his feet. Came back to life. And kept fighting with what was basically a crumbling corpse of an ultra form.
I honestly love Nexus’s grunts the most. You can feel the passion, effort and pain within his voice a lot of times. Followed by Zero but that’s because it’s Mamoru Miyano and Mamoru rocks everything he voiced so I’m just biased on that one.
Those grunts probably belong to the hosts themselves, seeing as Nexus himself doesn't have any grunts. That's my theory If Nexus/Noa does grunt though, hearing it might cause your brain to have a similar reaction to seeing, or trying to ses Cthulhu.
@@kurokishizx Their ratings were supposed to be good since this series target mature audiences but those dumb old fucks place them at a children's time slot traumatizing the children watching hence the low rating and subsequent result of getting axed. Still, just the first season alone is good enough to watch until the end of Himeya's journey. The subsequent episode clearly got rushed and as a result not as enjoyable as Himeya's arc. Super soldier's arc was underdeveloped, no chance at seeing Nagi's version of Nexus and a third form, even Komon's arc of him slowly building up to the revelation of Noah all got axed.

Well the series had to rush to finish with Project N Ultra, since it was not to the liking of a large part of the audience. So it is understood why the final fight against Dark Zagi was somewhat short, but I really liked it.

All nexus deunamist is alive but because nexus come to earth with limited energy he can't heal the deunamist every time so he just heal the deunamist when he already complete his mission and erase the deunamist memory but for ren he was sick on his own because he was experiment project, if you want to know that noa supposed to hibernation but he must fight zagi and chase the one to the earth that's why when we saw ultraman zero movie he was on stone statue
You Sir have never watched Ultraman Leo. In the first episode, an Island sunk into the ocean and all the residents died, in the first goddamn episode. The rest of the series literally goes worse and worse.
Be nice if they made another Ultra show in the spirit of this. While it had its weak points, and was cut short. There were a lot of great concepts that could stand to be revisited.

Edit: I gave the new gen Ultras another chance and while I still dislike most of them (Ginga,Geed,Taiga,Trigger,Victory) some of them are surprisingly good,my personal favorites are X,Orb and Z. I also kinda like R/B to but that's only because the opening is sang by the guy who did SSSS Gridman and SSSS Dynazenon's opening,that's pretty much it.

The one with the red eyes is also Dark Mephisto; in order to distinguish between the two, the red eye one is otherwise known as: Dark Mephisto II. ultra.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Mephisto If you search up only "Mephisto" in google or any other webpage, you will see a completely different character who is not from the Ultraman series.

This entire scene was peak Nexus for me. A powerful reminder that in spite of all the grit and edge, this is ultimately still an Ultraman show, and not just because of the title. By the end of his journey, Himeya's no longer just some poor guy tormented by guilt, thinking that he is burdened by the responsibility to protect others as punishment. He has, without realizing it, become a "true" Ultraman.

Will Ultraman Nexus reshoot or Complete the original 52 epis? Ultraman Nexus is as well known as Ultraman TiGa in China. My son and I like him very much. If Ultraman Nexus reshoot someday or Complete the original 52 episodes as planned I would like to make a contribution to donate some money.
I love how fast nexus is. I hate how slow they make new Ultraman. Like orb fights ridiculously slow. Dark Mephisto zwei (I know I can’t spell) would tear him apart with his phalanx.
