Ultratrail in Cappadocia - Why do people run 63 kilometers (or even 118 km) in the Turkish desert?

You have to be somehow crazy to run the Ultratrail in Cappadocia. The competitors have to run 38, 63 or even 118 kilometers. Uphill and downhill, uphill and downhill through a kind of desert formed by volcanos thousands of years ago. No question, the pittoresk landscape is amazing. But why running? Arzum and her friends of the Kas running group joined the trail - not for the first time. Crazy!!!

Danke Rainer, ja, ich war am Abend auch ganz erschöpft vom vielen Zuschauen. Anders als die Läufer hatte ich keine Verpflegungsstationen :)

man weiss gar nicht wem man mehr gratulieren soll : Arzum für diese übermenschliche Leistung !!!! Bravo Arzum - hast Du suuuuper gemacht - ganz tolle Leistung - Hast Dir jetzt einige wochen " nichtstun " verdient. Und dann ist noch dieser englisch sprechende Drohnenfliegende Kameramann. Wenn Arzum den Oskar für die Hauptrolle kriegt , dann kriegst du den Oskar für Filmkunst und Organisationskunst - immerhin musstest Du zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort sein um solch eine hervorragende und authentische Doku zu erstellen. Ihr beide seid das Couple of the year. Jetzt ist s offiziell ;-) Alles Gute und grosses Kompliment. Danke dass wir dabeisein durften ganz liebe Grüsse
