Florida kilos is one of the best, yet strangest lana del rey songs of all time. It has such a different vibe than the other songs on the album, but is one of the best still.

Black beauty is my absolute FAV song of all time. Lana taking naturally beautiful things from nature and applying it to her song so as to help this person on a journey around the world that they're not willing to go on. So heartbreaking for her but I love how she isn't saying anything bad about this person. She genuinely likes them and wants to help but she doesn't know if she can or if she should even spend all this time trying to get into their soul and help them to see all the colours and positivity that surrounds them. Flipside was an exclusive song that was on the target edition vinyl of the album, and I believe it's available on apple music and spotify in Japan

I've always had this interpretation of "Black Beauty" that she is talking about a friend/lover who is depressed and doesn't see the beauty of life. She knows she can't make them better so she's painting the sky black, her nails blue and all that to try to meet them halfway. On my first listen I felt like she was speaking to me directly as I was in a really bad mental place at that time.

A lot of Lana's songs (including Black Beauty and Flipside) are about her ex boyfriend Barrie. He was not abusive or anything and they seemed to love each other a lot, but he suffered from severe depression and they broke up because Lana couldn't handle it. They're still friends though and clearly still have a lot of love for each other, and based on her lyrics I think part of her has always hoped that someday when they're both in a better place it could still work out between them. I know you said you aren't reacting to videos anymore but even if it's on your own time, watch "Summer Wine" and you'll get to see a song and MV they made together while they were still a couple.

tip for honeymoon: there’s those two tracks on honeymoon called burnt norton, which is an interlude, and religion, and you have to look at them both together (lyrically) cause that was the whole point:) already excited to see your reaction!!

Black Beauty is probably one of her saddest songs tbh. Song is about her making her own life darker just for him. Heartbreaking that she'd pain her lips cherry red. Just a little pop of colour in a world of darkness that he's in, but she does it for herself because the darkness is getting too much. I think there's actually a recorded interview that leaked where Lana starts to cry when talking a out this exact pop of colour.

Lana’s 2023 song Say Yes To Heaven was recorded for Ultraviolence then leaked but recently got popular on TikTok so she officially released it

From what I know, Flipside is for her ex Barrie (songwirter in some songs of UV), he went to his natal country (he's from Europe can't remember where from exactly) and that's kind of why they broke up, apart from other things, but yeah it would've been nice for her to end her song saying that she won't be waiting for him on the flipside, but let me tell you that on NFR!, 5 years later, she's still saying she'll catch him. Anyways, thank you for your reactions, I truly truly love them, and can't wait for HM to be (re)experienced with you. I think you'll like the production on that.

I love the instrumental outro on flipside sm it sounds dark and it literally gives me chills each time I hear it. Lanas mvs aren't really for analyzing but are mainly for the aesthetic and theme of each era which personally heightens my enjoyment of the albums. But yes honeymoon is next! the most beautiful album!! her best!!!

Black beauty is in my top 4 Lana songs. Maybe even #1 sometimes. That song makes me fold in half and weep. Loving someone with depression and being someone with depression... this song is just so much. It's perfect.

black beauty is about her ex barrie who had depression, she has a lot of songs about him, and even with him, he produced/co-wrote some songs on blue banisters (i love her cover of summer wine with barrie) and he is the backing vocal on brooklyn baby, also cant wait for your honeymoon reaction

Florida Kilos is one of my favorite Lana songs. I'm not sure if you've seen the movie Spring Breakers (which happens to be a favorite movie of mine), but the writer/director of that movie, Harmony Korine, also co-wrote this song. It's like the perfect anthem for that movie as well, even though it wasn't actually featured in the film. ETA: I wrote this comment before I finished the video and saw that you included that. lol

The Ultraviolence deluxe is one of the best i've ever heard. These are tracks that enhance the experience of the album and have great production, the lyrics remain dark, heavy and with Lana's best vocals. One of her favorite albums easily.

I think flipside and ride are linked (or at least about the same person) since "don't break me down, don't say goodbye" is used in both songs but used in different scenarios. I suppose it makes flipside more beautifully tragic as she has found somebody who doesn't want to break her down but as she predicted is inevitable to happen , comparing it to her other relationships. It's a song about how unlovable she feels. I love Lana and i love your vids

You have a gun, and you wish to be able to end yourself, but I got my dad, who's helping me to get out of this darkness" You said how she can keep doing so depressed songs, so a "fun fact" is that on her last album she has a song called Fishtail", the lyrics says "you wanna me sadder", and it's supposed to be to her fans who want her doing depressed songs, and want her to keep the path of Ultraviolence songs. You'd be happy to know that in which next albums you'll see her better, not only production or lyrics, but mentally. She's very happy now, and enjoying life with her family and friends. ❤️ Btw, I love you look to suit into the album vibes! 💞

Waiting for Honeymon reaction - my favorite album, but at the same time the slooowest. My all time favorite song of Lana is The Blackest Day from Honeymoon.

I sang "caught you once, maybe on the flip side I could catch you again" to my rat when he passed in November and I can never hear this song the same 😢

There was a post on the Lana Del Rey subreddit asking people what song they thought was the worst or a skip. Guns And Roses was many people's answer :(

I love the Black Beauty song, but the demo version (all piano song). In the album the song has changed the production and added the gitar. The original leaked version of the Black beauty is just piano and it is so magic.
