When your getting spooled like that high stick the rod . I do it with big Bluefin tuna out here in California . Just stopped a Bluefin from spooling me last week as a matter of fact . Lift the rod as high up and straight as you can and arc your back . Left the bend in the rod put massive pressure on the fish to turn its head . When you feel it stop wind on it as fast as you can . Works for me . Good job keep it up .
can also b shark ... got spooled a few times by sharks on 50w with 1000m 100lb braid and 200 0.8 mono top and on a a penn slammer 8500 with 1000m 50lb braid from the beach... drone out baits with leverdrag on throw baits on the spinning gear
