Um Jammer Lammy - Fright Flight / Fire Fire | Reacting To Video Game Music! 

Beating the game with Lammy unlocks a second playthrough with Parappa with new rap verisions of the songs you just played rather than rock. There are also Lammy vs Rammy (she's like alternate Lammy from hell basically) vs stages that remove the teacher's lines and it's just guitar vs guitar. There was another sequel actually, Parappa 2 for the ps2 that came out after this. All of the music is pretty good from all 3 games and like you said they're pretty short (depending on the players skill).

Master Onion and the pilot guy (Captain Fussenpepper) are voiced by the same person, Ryu Watabe! He's also one of the three guys who wrote the lyrics to the games!

This game needs a remake or a sequel. Doesn't require a crazy budget either

It doesn't seem like you're aware that there actually IS a Parappa the Rapper 2!! Lammy is the second game in the universe but is more of a spin-off. But Parappa 2 has some absolute bangers in it as well! Um Jammer Lammy is SUPER underrated though, I'm so happy you got a small taste of it

Well, Um Jammer Lammy is guitar focused and as you say... yes, there's many different types of guitar music in it. I like this game and the Parappa games, but for rhythm games I think Gitaroo Man reigns supreme with both the best soundtrack and gameplay. Hmm, I also think Elite Beat Agents is amazing for the gameplay, but it uses licensed tracks (both the Japanese and western versions as basically different games with completely different soundtracks as well). Also I'd recommend just playing through these games yourself. Should be doable since they're pretty short. You can go through 1 or 2 of these games in a single stream easily.

Disappointed that this was Parappa's version of Fire Fire. =( The original (Lammy's) goes hard.
