Black Americans do not look more like the red-toned people we stereotypically think of as Native American than we do African people. Our hair and general skin tones more closely resemble African people than they do the red-toned people. Also, how do you claim aboriginality when there is another whole group of nonblack people there at the same time; and if they were from another landmass by way of Siberia, then what is the likelihood that the original Black people didn't originate from somewhere else as well?? Many of our ancestors were Native American as well. They were full members of tribes in the 1800s but when it became more advantageous to be considered Black than Indian, many of our ancestors chose to be Black. We're African and Native (and white but that's by force, not choice)
