Looked like a goat in the backyard 😂😂😂 what was that? I am so glad I didn't get a HDX and won't (thanks Rune) regardless, CO2 HPA whatever .... Paging the Doctor for Surgery....Should be interesting! Thanks!
@@lesslethalfordummies I NOTICE A CLIMB WHEN I SHOOT MY SIX SHOTS , GO AND COLLET MY AMMO AND SHOOT SOME MORE ,ALWAYS FIGURED IT WAS BECAUSE THE CO2 HAD TIME TO HEAT U A LITTLE !
Good vid tho boss u guys really took these things to the next level hopefully one day there will be a end result and keep them tuned for reliability and optimal performance keep them in a dry cool place well lubed
@@lesslethalfordummies he'll yeah because we're running out of time doc where gonna be all screwed if u don't get these numbers straightened out lmao jk imagine
Thank you for the video. I think we have abouth similar results. My adapter from homedefence-24 looks just like yours with 4 holes in it. JoNathan from Facebook told me will send me adapetrs for different HD markers, including the HDX68. He told me the inner part of the CO2 tube has threads and thats where he put in the new adapters. With his new adapters we can run it on either CO2 or HPA straing into the back of the marker. Btw, I jumped when the HDX spit out all the balls from the magazine LOL. Great test my friend. Thanks for making the video 😃👍
Yes i have been told the internal thread is all ready for 88g but may lack the puncture pin which i think can easily be remedied with an m16 tap. On video it looked like a ball fountain I couldnt stop laughing.
Can you use one full Co2 12g alongside an empty Co2 12g? For a 16 joules... Obviously, it will reduce shots, etc. I have tried using one full and one empty but the Co2 release button doesn't raise, and if it does it only raises slightly. It seems to me the gun is not designed to be used this way due to not creating enough pressure to raise the Co2 release button. I could be wrong, it could be a faulty gun...
You can use an empty one. Some cartridges are shorter by brand and may cause a problem puncturing the one full cartridge. Try putting a washer between the two round ends this should raise the button enough.
@bethevoice-gen1rev225 i did a video where i was using washers. LL4D Umarex Hdx 7.5j - Solving dual co2 puncture problem ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-My_2goxuOZE.html

Anybody has any idea why HDX68 have significant power drop on HPA tank than on co2 88g? I've replaced co2 tube with homedefence24 pressure housing and used powerkit and I see that on 88g co2 it's strong like hell but when I attached HPA tank (regulated to 1100PSI) via Air-Venturi bulk fill co2 adapter the power seems to drop. Balls bouce off the target (pcv floor panel) rather than making a hole (there are nice holes on co2). I've also tested it on 1300PS regualted tank but ball seems to fly even slover and my trigger is much more harder to push. Any ideas?
It is the transfer port that is holding back hpa. Essentially you need to skip the indicator portion and get air directly into the air chamber without any reductions. It can be down quite easily but requires permanently altering the launchers internal shell.
@@lesslethalfordummies Thanks for the answer. Could you please describe this part more specifically? Where it sits, how it looks? Any pic from google or yours if you have. Sorry for bothering, and thanks for your help.
I am sorry i do not have any other information for you. You need to treat it as if it were a rear air adapter for an HDR or HDP where is goes directly into the back.
@@bostonswift Mine after removing valve block hits 36 to 40 joules on first two shots then averages 45 the next 14. Highest ever recorded was 57 joules with 7 gram aluminum balls. Slicing through 1/2 pine with ease. Temps are a little higher here in NC , and I'm yet to get brave enough to shoot indoors cause of noise impacting my trap.
@@lesslethalfordummies I don't have a crony, but I put a power kit in it. I would love to crony it, but I am telling you, touch-wise, the power feels there; that's for me, tho, and I have no concerns about the second volley shooting out as well, unlike other CO2 guns I can't really see the sudden transition from strong to week till about the late 20th shot ( I will mention that when I know I will shoot my HDX, I will keep the cartridges in my first layer of outdoor clothes to ensure the co2 is not cooled if that makes any difference. )
Could this be the same thing that happened with the original tippmann TCR’s they were known to get liquid into the system when the seals got too cold and creating higher velocity due to the expansion of a liquid in the gun. As we all know, CO2 is a liquid that expands in to a gas and is usually what propels the projectile based on temperature and pressure of the cartridge.
Its possible. Really these Umarex are just a different breed. They were not designed to do what we are asking of them so they respond hastily different each time.
that climbing power thing... i hope my factory 40j won't do that. it takes the 88g so no 2x12 tube. It adverts as "36-40j" CAN'T WAIT to find out; supposed to ship in Mar. so it will likely be here in June🙄.
Apart from the consistency, it's still an impressive looking shotgun. Do they also sell the 40 joules model in Canada? I wouldn't know how to do it, but I've always wanted to have just a pistol grip on this one, and perhaps a top mounted bottle or something like that. But you would still have this ugly metal part sticking out just above the pistol grip... too bad, at 40 joules it would make a hell of a marker for self defense!
I like the way of your thinking. I would love maybe folding bottle stock 🤔 40j will not be available in Canada i think do to its advertised power from the box
@@lesslethalfordummies Yes, a folding bottle stock would just be great ! In France, you need a hunter license to buy a 40 joules HDX, wich I have, even if I will never ever hunt. I studied and got it mainly to learn some basic security rules with firearms ;-)
I tried Hpa through the co2 tube using the same adapter in an earlier video with terrible results. In its mostly factory form this marker loves 88/90g co2. There are a few places doing 90g conversions but it requires the permanent removal of the 2x c02 tube.
@@lesslethalfordummies yeah, the one I got is already the 40j 88g version. I was wondering if the power would drop or stay the same if I would connect a 88g to hpa connector to it.
@@patricksieses53 my guess is power output will be greatly reduced using hpa just from all the videos of folks testing hpa with less then stellar results.
Hey Sean. I know you're not 'into' revolvers, but will you review and do your magic to the HDR50 and/or the HDR68 sometime? All of your videos are much appreciated and i know this is selfish, but i would love to see what you can achieve with one of my favourite markers 🙏🤞🤗
@@lesslethalfordummies But it's soooo ugly Sean and looks like a kids toy. Please get an HDR when you've finished the HDP. 🙏. It was so funny when your balls popped out 🤣
could the climbing effect be because things are getting more lubricated the more you shoot ? i always thought shooting steel ,aluminum and glass slides down the barrel a lot better than rubber or soft plastics ? very interesting test my brother !!!
It has always done this brand new and modified. Think it has more to do with the transfer of air from the first indicator chamber into the actual air chamber via a brass tube.
