I find the majority of airsoft handguns don't have an easy access hop up but thanks for the info I will look into those.I have 4 pistols and they all need to have the slide removed in order to adjust the hop up.I always thought that this was a stupid design. You have to remove the slide then adjust the hop up,put the slide back on test fire the gun and if you're not happy you have to do the same steps over again.Makes no sense really but what do I know.
When you mentioned about removing mag for hop up addjustment. The other good thing your doing is showing proper gun handling for the kids who watch your videos. Member safety first!
Also, I believe the safeties of the P8 and USP being reversed is due to the previous duty pistol they transitioned from having that arrangement. Every other USP model (to my knowledge) has the safe position at the top.
I'm a bit late to the party but I think I have an idea on what the two-handed "tactical" chokehold on the pistol is for: I think it's protecting against being disarmed. The grip prevents someone trying to ambush you from easily grabbing/twisting the gun out of your hands and also prevents them from reaching into the trigger unit. Also one of the wisdoms of CQC is to keep your weapon as close to your body as possible for exactly this reason. Another advantage is that you can move into a two handed firing stance very quickly with this grip as well, feel free to try it out and you will soon see that it is faster than grabbing your pistol from the holster. Hope I could help and greetings from Germany. :)
Actually that's not the real reason. Im a german military officer and that's my main weapon, just to give some background for what im saying. This position he's holding the gun is called the "waiting stance". There are a few reasons to when to go into that stance. The reason is that you suspect danger to be around you. It's like the first escalation with next beeing the "contact stance" wich is holding your weapon out beeing ready to instantly snap to a target. The second reason is if you want to move around with your gun out. The stance and grip makes sure that you don't aim onto your mates while looking behind you for example. The gun needs to be aiming to the ground, one meter infront of your feet. So actually a little bit further out than he does. If you have any question, tell me.
Yep, Centre Axis Relock. Used for very quick aiming in close quarters combat. Not sure of the guy who developed it was SAS though. I know he was British though (I believe he passed away a few years ago)
It’s Paul Castle who created centre axis relock, he was special forces then took to teaching police officers in the US. It’s designed for quick and close quarters combat and it’s what is used in the John wick films
Yeah it was a stupid gimmicky form of gun handling that mostly died out along with him. Only cult followers of his use it. A regular isoceles stance/two handed grip works just fine. If it aint broke dont fix it.
What you saw in Strike Back was some form of the Center Axis Relock method. It's a shooting system designed for CQC, invented by a former SWAT officer named Paul Castle. It's what John Wick uses in the movies. Link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RBBt0d_umXg.html
Looks like a good reliable sidearm, but I’m not a fan of the annoying rail system. Does it come with the ugly big adapter? Or can you simply not put a torch on it? Also, have you got your hands on the new VSC MP7 AEG Yet? Can’t wait for you to review that beauty👍🏻
Honestly Mike, those trigger types are really trigger happy. I own a real Px4 Storm with the same trigger, and after the first pull, it gets really easy to mag dump. It's the hefty trigger pull that makes it so trigger happy. It's like it gets lighter after each shot.
Do some target aquisition practice starting from that holding position to pointing the handgun straight forward and you'll understand why they hold it that way in SB 😉
Great! This version has also the german authorities markings. the antler is the sign of the Beschussamt in Ulm (city in Germany). Niiiiiiiiiiiicccceeeee! the german version of this airsoft does not have these markings :-( wrong world! does yours have the "F" marking? Regards Bruce
That small square might just be a manufacturer's cartouche. That might also explain why they are different, they are specific to the facory/armory they are built in
KWA and VFC are two different airsoft manufacturer from Taiwan, and as I know, KWA only has USP .45 and USP Compact, those are not like the 9mmX19 P8A1.
Hey i have a gas leak problem with the magazine on that replica can anyone give me any suggestions beacuse i tried everything i saw on the internet and nothing worked..
Do you know the weight it needs to pull the trigger? The original P8 hat 5kg, thats pretty much. I've seen a lot of female solideres struggle with the P8......
Operators hold their guns in the double handed format you mentioned for better recoil control and so they don't accidentally put their finger on the trigger and shoot a round without meaning to so safety short answer
Hi bud a while ago you did a test on a cheap nock off of a devtac helmet, did you ever test what the durability of the mesh eyes wer like as I know someone who wants to get 1 even tho I showed him your review and was on about using the mesh eyes??
Nice video Mike, I've gotta be honest I've been ignorant about pistols as I've ALWAYS been a glock fan but you have started to turn my head with this. 😏 keep up the good work 👍
It is very cool I have an ACP 601 / ASR 101/ ACP ASK 204p I'm not supposed to have these in Australia but life is short and meant to be fun I love playing with them they are all awesome and I would love to have a collection like yours
Just ordered one after seeing this review love it , can I ask mike we’re you get the gun racks from I could do with them as my collection is getting bigger
The slide is sadly way off. The higher up part on the bottom of the slide is a lot thicker than the real one, and that same higher up part also doesn't cut off at the barrel, like it does with the real one. It overall makes the replica look a lot less "tight" to me.
I'm only here to hear Mike say: NICE! Haha, just kidding, I'm also here because I love the USP. Umarex has another USP from KWA, I know it because I own it, so I wonder what is that about... Seems like lately Umarex prefers VFC but I don't know anything about airsoft politics. And I also own the Marui USP9 and welll... I don't see how this P8A1 could be any better.
Any chance Airsoft Mike you could send me a patch because we are not allowed airsoft which really sucks I love your collection it is awesome and I enjoy all your stuff that you do you are very talented my friend
If anyone has ever been shot at close range by a BB gun thats gone off accidently with the mag in and BB's in they will understand there not toys and it actually does hurt like hell.
One store I have visited says that it's compatible with VFC USP mags. I've sent them a query considering the information about it is divided, some stores claim there are dedicated p8a1 mags that fit, some don't.
Excuse my ignorance, but does your government not have an issue with airsoft guns looking so realistic? I mean, I’m an yank with a real USP, and I’m not sure I’d be able to tell the difference unless I had it in my hands. Although maybe it’s less of an issue where you live since your police are less… trigger happy… 😬 Side note, I appreciate you advocating good gun safety even though it’s an airsoft. 👍
They're only permitted for use on registered airsoft fields. You also have to play at least 3 games outside of a period of 2 months to get your UKARA. Without a UKARA you're only legally permitted to purchase the 2 tone versions
