The road to the remote Northeast of Zimbabwe is quite bad and a short distance requires many hours but I met interesting people on the way and before I knew it I was at my next destination, a park that you will not find in any itinerary through Zimbabwe, Umfurudzi Park. I thought that it was because it is far from everywhere, but I learnt the real reason, and I didn't like it at all.

Great footage. A visit to hippo pools camp site is very pleasant.

That’s the most beautiful part. And the Umfurudzi potholes too

Your totally correct... ZIMBABWE has a hunting industry... and as such areas have been designated fir it... Umfurudzi was originally set up as such an area... what has now happened is that national parks is trying to double the income and have now allowed overland, daytrippers and general gane viewing to happen.. it doesn't gel together.. 2ndly the baits should've been take down at the completion of the hunt...

@@PaulJasonDesigns I totally agree. I'm not against hunting, but I don't think both activities can be done in the same place. Those animals ran as soon as they heard the engine and driving around was a waste of time. Leaving the bait there is absolutely disgusting and it should be removed immediately after the hunt ends.
