I loved the Comic Book art style that they had in UMVC and the only thing I can appreciate in Infinite is how cool Ryus lvl 3 looks when suppressing the Dark Hado
@@viewtifulkiwi7108 If they have more stuff like that in Marvel vs Capcom 4, it's a wrap! Even tho Mvci was a failure... There are many things you can imply into the next game.
@@InsidiousOne Now with the x-men and fantastic four, They can go back to being more opened source-material instead of being anti-social MCU exclusive only, Ultimate alliance 3 and Spiderman PS4 proves that they still have a chance
Swag It infinite has beautiful graphics, they just messed up by making MvC3’s character models realistic instead of making new models. Just look at MvCI Venom
@@kevinmatta9262 There are some things that i like about MvCI, stuff like Ryu holding back the Hado when hes at low health, and a couple of the supers look really good in MvCI
Bruh I'm so weak from Spidey's transition Cuz Josh Keaton (Spectacular Spider-Man) didn't voice Infinite, the new guy said "Guess not everyone can be Spectacular"
I see what you mean for Example Dante sound way more aggressive when he say jackpot in mvci why in MvC3 he say it so much calmer. Hulk in MvC3 sound like he struggling to say words with all his anger which makes sense for his character, MvCi just sound angry. And when Dormamu say welcome to my realm in MVC3 it sound so chilling while MVCI sound way to aggressive to really make you feel that chilling feeling.
This just cemented the idea in me that presentation is so important for fighting games. Sound, Music, Design, and Special Effects all need to be there for me to want to stick around...
MVCI is a game without soul. That's the reason it looks so bland. The success formula of Marvel vs Capcom (and ALL arcade games in general) is the FUNNY look of it. Crazy shit happening all across the screen with bright colors, fast paced combos, colorful soundtrack and a clever comic artsyle which reminded you of the title itself. MVCI brought down all the exagerated visuals trying to be realistic (in the worst way), having a innapropriated soundtrack, being good only in gameplay mechanics.
And if someone online had Ryu in english and you dont, if you fight against him you would hear the voice they choose, loved that. And FighterZ need it, i love Japanese voices but Cooler and Bardock
@@MURAMURAchannel The roster of MVC3 isn't bad, it's actually pretty varied in comparison to MVC2 in all honesty. There's a huge chunk of mainly Street Fighter and X-Men characters that are in that game
@Arturo Ilidan I understand many were disappointed by MVC3, but I personally love it. I honestly think it's one of the best games in the series and easily one of the best fighting games I've ever played. I always find myself defending it. Though yeah, I can agree that MVCI was a let down. I liked the gameplay and the inclusion of X and Jedah, but everything else was very mediocre at best.
Infinite is what you get when a movie studio meddles in territory they have no business in. Let Capcom make the game they want to make. There was no MCU before MVC so your not going to rake in more money. Especially if you alienate the fans that made the franchise successful to begin with. Infinite was lazy and dull. You removed the Xmen that was a huge mistake then your replace said characters with worse substitutes. Story Mode was completely unnecessary. Nobody play MVC for story it was all about Dream matches and unheard of team ups. MVC2 will always be the best!
Even the story have MUCH lacks. Joining Sigma with Ultron were genial but they should have done it just like they did with Infinite War. The way they did (Ultron Sigma) what they did were much meh. Just remember when MvsCInfinite were released Capcom werent with the rights of XMen franchise so we cant blame them for this. And why they didnt just add later when it got released the license? Well, UMvsC3 is there again to answer that. MVSCI were a goid ideia that got applicated completely wrong in much aspects.
The moment I saw Doctor Doom I remember all the times I just spammed his range attacks and then ended them withe his super move.(If you played MvC3 you know the move am referring to)
I would kill to see a universe where MvCI actually turned out decent, had a good art style, and wasn't an antisocial MCU cash grab. Finally giving us characters (and bringing some back) like Nightcrawler, Mr. Fantastic, Jin, etc.
I think that is a forced opinion born out from disappointment. A perfect example was Maximillian dude forcing himself to like the game. Saying it had its flaws but the game play was superb, which is a lie. I for instance own every smash game but I skipped smash 4 after playing it for two weeks because it was super bad. However I did not force myself to like the game just because it is smash, nor did I say that had any redeeming quality.
Umvc3 just has so much more personality to it. The comic book style was very fitting for all the characters. The special attacks were not only flashy and hype animation wise, but the voices for them were just so damn hype. Like listen to the audio difference of iron mans proton cannon and tell me which one is the hypest one for u. Infinite does look good in SOME regards but ultimately....ultimate wins
I'm not sure if they were trying to make the shinku hadoken the regular size like in the original Marvel versus Capcom games but either way I like them Marvel versus Capcom 3 shinku hadoken better than infinite.
3:58 do y’all remember the fear of hearing that, you’re down to your last character and you attack your opponent and miss and it leaves you open so they pull out the very fearful “IRON AVENGER” and end you
IMO: They made MVCI too realistic. I like the comic style look and play to mvc series. MVCI was too slow, I feel like the thought process behind the game was over thought and the supers lost that satisfying IMPACT of landing a finisher. (You know the feeling where you just drop the MF, B*tch words after every hit) like take that! Also, mvc series is known to be flashy ... for example: Caps Shield charge and Stars and Stripes .. why would you take away the flag color aura that trails when those moves are performed ? It’s captain America, he’s prideful.
MVC.1) onslaught Marvel SuperHeroes vs Street Fighters) Apocalypse and Cyber Akuma MVC.2) Abyss MVC.3/U) Galactus MVC.Infinite) Ultron/Sigma I find Abyss tough because of his three boss forms you have to face IMO.
I don't feel like the art style in MvCI was cohesive like UMvC3. There was unity of style across many characters. MvCI's models looked like animated dolls, although some of the models and skins/textures were absolutely fantastic, most notably Iron-Man. But I really think the faces, body proportions, and expressions were really off across the board in MvCI. We have to remember that a large amount of time passed between MVC2 and MVC3, they had to creat all new models etc. It is clear in MVCI, that many old assets were re-used and just reskinned and textured, a style change on old models as opposed to being built from the ground up can clearly be seen.
Even the style, Ultimate’s just suited everyone they wanted in the game, even the more cartoony exaggerated characters like Arthur, Tron Bonne and Amaterasu looked really good in it, and they went all out with the comic book influence, even transitions are them ripping through the pages, and the select screen is just really cool While Infinite’s more realistic style only suited a select few that either were given a proper model to suit with the style, or they didn’t have a normal human face, or they had their eyes covered, and besides the special effects, everything else looks rather bland and sterile, especially for an MvC game tbh
Yes but it shoudn't be a big deal, if atleast the developers could have taken his time... i mean sure, i heard good reviews about the gameplay (allthough they maked it 2v2 when we already get used to 3v3 format) but other than that, for the most part, the story, desing, sounds, and voices feel wrong. Yeah, when SFV came out everyone complained about many things, but in the end, they have make the game better, sure a lot of people miss SFIV, but atleast it's possible to get used to it's succesor, unlike MVCI... and i've heard that the online is dead, and it's only alive for the competitive scene, it died that fast?
Not only that but it was clearly rushed. Like Foc said if they would’ve taken their time to polish the graphics, the story, the voice acting, add more variety in the roster instead of copy-pasting MvC3 characters, etc. I think it would’ve been a hit. This game came out right before Infinity War and it’s crazy how they missed such a golden opportunity like that. The 2v2 gameplay isn’t a problem imo
Lautaro Susperregui Indeed, but I thought it was implied that it was a cash grab mainly because of the MCU choice in the roster. Which is not entirely true
Yeah sure, ps5 is going to come next year, maybe we could get some day another "Versus" game, and hopefully they don't mess up like MVCI, and put some love in it.
Marvel versus Capcom 3 add Flair and spirit. It actually gives a sense that these characters are feeling the impact of these attacks and they just overall look better. Infinite on the other hand doesn't have much substance. It's more flash but none of the Soul that mvc3 had. Their attempt to make it more realistic to coincide with the movies didn't really do infinite the great service. This seems to be the biggest problem with Capcom and it's what almost ruined the Resident Evil franchise changing the formula to better imitate Western action movies. If they ever do come out with another MVC I honestly hope that they ditch the idea of making it like the movies and more like how they have been doing it.
Never realized the timings to the animations on infinite were so bad. Some supers seemed off timed in their animations, or just pretty lazy in terms of animation timing, like as if the hits have no impact, it's just all rushed which makes the animation of the moves look bland. In umvc3 the timing of the animations are all very good, as of every hit looks impactful and awesome.
Like Haggar’s, in Infinite he just twirls you around while laughing like a toddler, and then slam into an unimpactiful weirdly volcanic crater. While in Ultimate he angrily toys with you, launching you with an evil glare before jumping at you, to follow with a Boom, BOOM, BOOOOM! Or Morrigan just attacking you with her mirrored clone with no much besides a little laugh in Infinite. While in Ultimate she’s just oozing with magic all over, delivering the finishing blow with a very magical flare Or Chris’ weapons in Infinite being mild controlled explosions, the blasts feeling like smoke bombs at best. While in Ultimate they’re so strong they cover the screen, with the blast looking like they hurt like a mother Or especially Ghost Rider, in Ultimate his stare sends you straight to hell in a flaming spiral, and in Infinite, he just…stares at you, awkwardly
@@dustymcwari4468 don´t forget about nemesis T-type, in ultimate he made a slow rush of punches until finally take out some of the tentacles to deliver a strong punch that made a hole in the ground, in infinite he rush so fast those punches (not according to his size and mobility) and instead of delivering a final slam, he punch hard to the adversary fly away or the missile launch and trample, in UMvC3 after launching 3 missiles from his rocket launcher he jumps so high and slam into the ground so hard that leaves a hole in the ground, on MvCI by the other side, after launching his 3 missiles his jump slam looks less destructive what about his final form (hyper combo Lv3)?, in UMvC3 the slime looks so gross, his skin looks perfect, or the bite that it spit to much slime to feel that gross, on MvCI by the other side, his skin looks so rough, and his slime is more like a barf
When will Capcom release a Super Duper Ultra Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 + MvsC Infinite Roster? I really miss Venom when I go back to UMvsC3 but I miss everyone else when I play MvsCI LOL
I love how infinite looks but my god the gameplay is bad Even though it makes it easier to do hypers it doesn’t have the classic 3 on 3 and just doesn’t feel like a mvc game
MvCi will always hold a special place in my heart. Sure it was ugly as hell but it had the best gameplay in the series tbh. Plus we got Sigma, Monster Hunter, and Black Panther as cool additions.
