UMvC3 Zero Combo Video - Raikousen - 

If you're going to use pad with Zero, stop playing using your thumb to hit the attacks. Use your index for light and special, and your middle for medium and hard, and your ring for your assist. You can sometimes sneak your thumb under your index to hit special, or your ring to hit hard, but the basic concept is to never use your thumb as the primary attack use button.

It's used to annotate the direction you should be moving your joystick. Look at a numpad, it goes from 789 456 123 For the lightning, you see 623L, that means you need to do the shoryuken motion and then press Light for the move.

You can switch charges mid combo with practice. In the middle of another move hold down the button you want to switch the charge to and then let go of your first charge.

Just when you think you're getting better as a player you watch a video like this and feel shitty. Time to go practice hell of a lot more ;). Thanks for the tips. I really want to do that combo that starts at 00:45 but I honestly think I'd need a 3rd hand to pull it off.

I used to play as him when I was little. But it feels like I'm going to play UMvC3 again as him.

And this method works with either the X-360 and PS3 since I made it finger specific, not button specific. I use a PS2 pad through an adapter to play on X-360. Moving the light to the bumper can work, I just prefer to use 2 of each assist button so that no matter which one I hit, the right assist always comes out [;I tend to hit the wrong assist sometimes...]

Little tip for controller users. Map light to L1 or LB and assist 1 to the left stick for charged blasts.

I can't even execute a single combo

haiz...I spent 13 hours to learn this combos...I've finally learn it and my success rate is about 40% only...=3= I can't feel my hand now

@idkmyname91 Haha, it may seem so. Zero is what is considered a "glass" character. High Risk/ High Gain. If he gets hit with one full combos, he is dead or almost at death.

It's quite hard at first, but once you get the hang of doing the lightning loops it sort of becomes muscle memory and timing are all there is to it. Thanks, these are by far in the top three vids I've seen of Zero combos.

I usually practice for an hour with zero, strider and doom before going online but seeing this vid I got much much to learn especially the x-factor loop. Thnx for uploading :-)

it is possible, you don't need to hold the pad in the position that only your thumb has access to the buttons, I hold it differently and it works perfectly, my index on the L, and my middle finger for the rest of the inputs, and just switch when ever necessary.

I have to hold it Tekken style lol...I hold the left side of the Vita like a controller and rest the right side on my lap and play with my index and middle fingers for the buttons. Not very comfortable since the buttons are so close together, but it works

Delay the j.S. Do it when Zero is on the way down. Rekkoha as soon as you hit the ground.

Im not a newbie, but your combos are kinda hard, that´s what i like on them

@idkmyname91 It takes a lot of skill and luck to do this kind of stuff, to be honest. It works both ways for all the characters though. I wish my Zero was this good.

@quicksaund People usually recommend using the bumpers on the controller to charge. I'm actually used to charging L,M,H to charge but I usually use fightstick with Zero.
