The subtitle didn't exactly translate what the producer said but he said something alone the lines of "I didn't think you would be able to do this." / "I can't believe you did it." Even the producer himself got shocked by Mark's delivery.
Mark was literally born to be the main rapper. When it was his time to record he did it naturally perfect and no one can say I'm biased coz it's Taeyong for me. He and Mark is still the best rap duo together with Jeno, Johnny, Yangyang, Hendery and Sungchan. Stan NCT for a better life

I feel like Mark improved A LOT and we should TALK about it. Everyone knows he’s good but he just continuously working on himself. He can do slow chilling, he can do fire spitting 🔥 So proud of him as NCT main rapper 💚
He's come so far since 7th sense and he was already a good rapper then, now he's cemented himself as possibly the best idol rapper there ever was and ever will be lmao

@@celestielsigh I agree, he has good flow and can RAP. Nowadays especially in kpop there are people who are trained to rap or will replicate others style but Mark is a natural. Taeyong has his own style which I like. Yangyang is also a natural, he came to SM w/o any experience in music except violin but very quickly was able to pick up rap and do it well at the same time. Hendery has his own sound too and is improving all the time, I have high hopes for him. I think his rap style is becoming more and more refined. On top of that, all 4 of these boys can write their own rap/song lyrics like a true rapper/artist.
Johnny is so underutlized it's insane. He has the makings to be an excellent rapper with a little guidance from the seniors. His flow feels natural even if it's not necessarily "clean".
Oh, I just realize that the reason I love Mark's rapping is because of how natural and flowy and clear and relax it is no matter the beat. I'm used to hearing strong rapping like Namjoon, (he is my fave too) Taeyong, Yoongi and Hobe but the "naturalness" of Mark is just different and captivating. I don't usually listen to rap when sleeping but like my lullaby is Mark's rap compilation. Its so surreal
Yupm his flow is so relaxing. No matter how hard hitting thr rap is his delivery is always chill and the enunciation is so clear. His natural swag just oozes. I like Taeyong's versatality but I love Mark's flow abd delivery the most.
@@lasciemie6346 we’ve only heard sungchan in like 3 songs so we haven’t even seen what sungchan can completely do! i think he already has an amazing base on rapping so i bet being surrounded by experienced rappers will make him progress even faster than a normal rookie would
I totally agree! When Sungchan covered Taeyong’s part in Boss in the Vlive concert, I was totally blown away with how well he managed with such a difficult part in such an iconic song! I really can’t wait to see how much he improves in the future
tbh, mark & taeyong is really talented and they deserve the hype BUT THE OTHER MEMBERS ATE, ESPECIALLY YANGYANG, JENO, & HENDERY, AND Y'ALL DON'T GIVE THEM APPRECIATION THEY DESERVE. *they're underrated af.*

True. I'm surprised nobody's talking about him, Hendery or Sungchan. I love Johnny's english accent in the rap parts (I think u can really hear it) though I understand why some people might not and that's why he might not get lines, but at least I'm glad he has the english line and adlibs, we don't realise it but his parts really complete the song. As for Sungchan, he is new but you can tell he wants to improve. He impressed me frl, idk what to say except he did great and his voice is already very recognisable for me. As well as Hendery as well who I would say has the most unique voice equal with Mark and Taeyong. I love his energy
For real. His part is so good (they're all good). But like - his voice really does fit this song. And then him being praised for having such a good "Old school" sound and being from Chicago makes me so happy
You'll realize SM knows from the beginning that Mark has so much potential, definitely a breath of fresh air for his roster of artists who's known for vocals and visuals and they are often criticized for having bad rappers. But then there's Mark and the whole industry went silent.
MARK LEE IS A FREAKING GENIUS. HIS RAP IS ON AN ETHEREAL LEVEL. 1:52 what a pro too. he's always doing his best to improve his craft even though he's born to rap.
i would say, hendery and yangyang need more part, they did their every single part so well. they have fancy and fierce rap style. i wish people not slept on them and give more part on the next project/songs.
this is why they call mark one of sm's best rappers. he's talented, hardworking, and getting better and better as time goes by. mark lee really is one of nct's aces.

YangYang is so good and it’s not talked about enough. He has a really nice flow, and the way he adds inflections and nuances to his voice to make his verse interesting is really nice. Korean is his 4th language, and rapping at that kind of pace and energy is so impressive.
