Panama Ecosystem Restoration Project "Jaguar Falls" has been an initiative by Henrik Floodhammar who started with a vision - a dream a couple decades ago, to save the jungle habitat of wild cats. This project has become a part of the UN decade of ecosystem restoration 2021-2030 and it already showed some success.
The Jaguar came back to a previously endangered land, which had been partially cut down by cattle farmers and it is (still) sometimes used by illegal hunters.
New trees were planted in the forest that is protected by caretakers who make sure it's not burned down again. More people are needed as protectors, collaborators, and sponsors for other pieces of land just like it around the area that need protection from further habitat destruction.
