(Un)helpful Guide To Red Velvet REACTION | EARLY 2021 

Finding a good guide is very hard. When I first discovered red velvet, I watched plenty of guide that didn’t really help or just highlight some members. I ended up watching their reality program, level up, and yes it’s much more helpful than most of the guide(even though I wanted to just skip to ss2 since Joy wasn’t in ss1). And perhaps I can convince you to watch it, the first season was in Thailand😉

Red Velvet A Mess series by Bubbleflexe (as shown towards the end of the video) is a very good and funny way to see more of their personalities 💚💜❤💛💙

Seulgi is one of the best dancer in kpop.

Red Velvet as a group is pure chaos. I really like their interaction with NCT. NCT as confident as they are, is still powerless when it comes to RV. Only Doyoung fights back but still... he gets easily overpowered by RV's personality.

Wendy was born in Korea. She went to Canada and then Minnesota to attend middle school because she had an older sister who came back from a year in Canada a completely different person. She then moved back to Korea to become a singer, but her whole family lives in Canada now. Amd Eric was their skydiving instructor when they visited a wind-tunnel during the 3rd season of the Level-Up Project. Yeri and Joy were both quite smitten with him.

I suggest you react according to the order of release, Happiness, Be Natural, and Automatic. Fun fact: Yeri was not able to join the group way back in 2014 because there is like a no minority labor law, wherein 14 below are not able to work yet, so that's why. Ever since she joined their group had its first win! Also, Wendy sang only 3 songs, from what i can remember whitney houstoun, mariah carrey songs, in audition and was accepted immediately and was asked to join the group immediately. Wendy is probably the best vocal in her generation, no one can explain the range her voice has. Like omg she sang All I want for Christmas is you and the words 'is you' she hit 13 notes 🤯. She is also a legit rapper, she has a clean rapping skills. In WTRS many reactors cried while reacting because the song is such a healing song, its a masterpiece that relieves you from your burdens. Many artists choose this as their healing song, exanple is NCT's Doyoung. Wendy also collaborated with John Legend way back in 2019with an underated but so so beautiful song. Wendy and Seulgi are soulmates. They are the same age and born with the same month, Wendy was born 11 days after Seulgi. They also both have mole on their back 😅 this shows how much of a soulmates they are. So excited for the comebackkk!!!

I've never watched this guide before, and it was pretty adorable. I super liked watching LevelUp, I'm close to the end of Season 2 right now actually (I loved season 1 even though Joy was missing) and can't wait to see more of their non-performance related content. I'm a huge Wendy bias, but I super love all of them.

I think soo too .. not to many people in one group so they can bond better. 👍 One thing is for sure RV members are a family. They dont show it that much in front of the camara. But later they often tell us through insta live that they are chilling together, gathering up together, eating together at christmas etc etc. They are Very private with actually group affection and private talks (and ofc theyre actuall families). And thats why i think its real love between them. Often it is not real that all the members like each other, like we could see last year ( the bullying scandels between members of the same groups). But not in red velvet and thats bcs they respect each other and their privacy. Once 2020 January Joy talked about some dorm rules on a tv show. And the host said that they give themself relly hard rules but she said yeah but so we have each other privacy and also time for our self. (And everyone needs time for ones self, Especially if u r an idol !). *Soo yeah RV is Love till END.*

It's really hard to find a great guide for Red Velvet. So I recommend their reality/variety shows + RV a mess series by Bubbleflexe Irene is my bias but It's so hard to choose a favourite among RV. Also Red Velvet is very close with Taeyeon/SNSD so I recommend "Taeyeon is Red Velvet's mom"

During 2nd Generation while they were training, rapping (while a necessary part of the kpop song formula) was generally regarded as the lowest-status position, that member routinely got the fewest lines in songs and least center time. Having another role, such as Main Dancer (e.g. SNSD Hyoyeon) or maknae overshadows rapping. *RV avoids this pitfall by passing the job around based on what the song needs;* each member has rapped in at least one title track. Fellow 3rd Gen group Mamamoo took a different path, by putting in more rap lines and letting the rapper (Moonbyul) write her own lyrics. 4th Gen G-Idle is the first gg to actually have their leader and main rapper being the same person (the supremely talented Jeon Soyeon)
