Unable to open registry files or unable to import registry files in Windows 10 7 Windows 11? Please follow these four simple methods to fix registry files not opening issues.
Method 1 - Convert to ANSI code. Right click the registry file - open with - notepad - file - save as - encoding - change it to ANSI and click on Save.
Now instead of opening it directly from file explorer, proceed to Method 2.
Method 2 - Instead of Opening Registry files from folders directly, do this. Search Regedit - right click and Run as administrator - import - select the file to open.
Method 3 - Change the permissions for EVERYONE. Right click on the registry file - poroperties - security - permissions - edit - add - advanced - find now - select "Everyone". Double click "everyone" to select him. click on OK. select everyone in the next window. Give him full control - click on APPLY and OK to confirm the changes you have made.
Method 4 - Remove the blank lines from the registry editor. Open the file and look for the blank spaces out there. Remove it and click on save .
