I was at a Circle K on Arizona Ave in Chandler, he was at the front of the line, I did a "Charlie Murphy!" like Rick James, he looked back and smiled, sadly he died just a few months later.

I love how true he was to himself. His circumstances changed but he knew exactly the role he needed to play because he'd played it all his life. I love how well he expresses the terms of the incident and then he calmly explains why he had to whip somebody's ass. It's so effortlessly funny. We miss you bro!
Love seeing people point this out! So many have envy & jealousy in a situation like that but charlie was a beautiful person & it made him feel bigger instead of smaller, it made him full of love not hate & that's how it should be. You have to credit Eddie as well for not changing & alienating people! It made him feel better to see his loved ones benefit from his success which again is the way it should be! I'm rambling but I love both of them & I can't imagine how bad it hurts Eddie. RIP Charlie

In 2004 or 05 husband and I bought his little brother Chappelle’s Show on DVD for Christmas. Because this is the sort of stuff big brothers do, he decided to open the DVD and watch it before giving it to my brother in law as a gift. That is when we first saw the unaired Charlie Murphy segments. We were so happy we opened that DVD before gifting it. We talk and laugh about watching Charlie Murphy on that DVD to this day!
I heard him say it a few times, about the one person trying to squeeze the lemon. I love that outlook, don't be the one person trying to squeeze the lemon. RIP Charlie, the world lost an amazing person when you passed.

But all in all If Chris would have had the rest of his brothers there, Will would have caught the bum rush

I love Charlie and his style of delivering a story. He makes it seem real. If it is an accurate account, is exaggerated or is a complete fictional script, it doesn't matter, because in your mind you see it from his eyes and it is real as can be and funny as hell.
Omg, he is greatly missed. Im on this nostalgia train today riding through Charlie's memorable skits and story telling videos. This video had my lauging and cryinglike a colicky baby.
But the quadriplegic was ruining everyone's dinner and enjoyment. Charlie seems to be apologizing kinda...but the dude was outta line. Being handicapped doesn't give you a license to ruin shit for everyone else. Like...'sorry for your misfortune, man...but don't be a total jerk.' And THAT'S MY BROTHER, MAN!!
