Braces, a back brace during the day, a headgear at night… For most of her childhood, Erin was quite insecure about her appearance. At age 12, she had corrective back surgery for scoliosis and she instantly grew two inches. Being one of the tallest people in the room for most of her life, Erin has a different view of the world and, through the years, she developed a non-judging approach to other people. For her, a positive body image encompasses physical health, mental health and cultivating positive thoughts about herself and others. Having given birth in recent years, she discusses pregnancy, breastfeeding and all the changes her body went through.

This is Unapologetically Me.
Each week, we'll be sharing someone's story with their body and self-love.
Hearing all of their stories inspired and empowered me. Whoever you are, whichever situation you're going through, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Through this project, we wanted to inspire and bring awareness. If we can inspire only one individual to love and accept their body a little more, we'll have succeeded.
We truly appreciate your kindness and support. Feel free to let us know about your own personal journey with self-love in the comments below.
Be Unapologetically You.
