I went to his concert in N.Y. with my daughter last December. As good as he sounds on recordings, he is incredible live. Not just the singing, but the energy, playfulness and sheer entertainment for the whole 2 1/2 hours he was on stage. If you evert get the chance, go.
"He just makes me want to sing" - it's true! Even if I can't sing like he does. I've started singing around the house and in my car again. It's like my voice went silent for years (hard times) and I've got it back now, thanks to this young man igniting the spark.
Same here! I was a singer when I was young. I was diagnosed with MS and I lost my voice, but I am getting it back as I vocalize with Dimash and Avi Kaplan. Carla, I am glad we are finding our voices again!
Wow, exactly the same here. Same as both of you. (and @Mary March McClelland, I'm also a Pentaholic and Avi was my favorite member. 😢) I was trained classically for 8 yrs as I was growing up. Then I left school like a doofus and married a sociopath (literally). Had a son. Finally went to college and wanted to do music but I didn't want to be irresponsible cuz I had a 4 yr old to take care of. I know I was good enough but that little nagging doubt, you know? But my life with pain and suffering started at 18 and I didn't know how bad it would eventually get. And even though I've sung over the years because I can't not, in these past few yrs I haven't sung nearly as much due to illness and pain. But hearing Dimash made me want to study it again. He's incredibly inspiring.
Truly, he is the most humble, loving, decent, hard-working singer I know of. He is generous to those who have less than him. He IS a gift to mankind. He spreads love and decency wherever he goes. He is devoted to his parents. He said that once a singer becomes a "star-head" he'll never get over it, so it's important to remember all the people who help you and all your good fortune and always be grateful. If you want to see him sing with his parents, go to RU-vid "search" and put in, "Dimash sings with parents." Both of the are in opera. And you can see when they look at Dimash, how proud they are of him, and how much they all love each other.

It was a 25 sec insane high note Dimash did even higher than went lowering in crazy vocal runs. Dimash is really humble, has made friends in all competitions he took part, he participates in duets with young artists to showcase them and he's absolutelly a dear with his fans, he doesn't take them for granted. His commited to his music and grateful for every day he can do what he loves. This attitude as well as the voice, made me a Dimash fan.

At the end of the song the man in the white shirt is Igor Kotoy I know I didn’t spell it right but he is. Famous composer and he came out of retirement to work with Dimash . He played the piano so watch for him
I have friends or people i know that have only or only listen to nothing by Norteñas, cumbias, duranguense, to hip hop or r&b.. . They are from different áreas, grew up in different circumstances and have other different tastes but, close to 100% of them have loved Dimash and his voice. Others recognize his talent even if this type of music is not to their taste.

If you take note the man standing with the white shirt and clapping at the end of the video is Igor Krutoy, Russian composer, who has composed songs for Di to perform now and he has been touring with Di last year. Aww, you’re a little too late, Dimash had his very first Solo Concert in Barclays Center , NYC this past December 10th. It was the best concert ever for me.

The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental Arab technique, is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist! Bright! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.
IMO Dimash represents the light in the world where others sold out to the darkness. The world was created by the word of God, vibration and frequencies. I was like you, only listened to music I liked, all American. By chance, I saw Dimash perform SOS and I was hooked at that very moment. Since then, I have listened to everything Dimash has ever done, and have discovered really great artists from all over the world.
Some of his videos have subtitles... I think that not everybody deserves to react to Dimash... You really have to have the love of music to understand and appreciate the calibre of what Dimash brings and I think you are a genuine Dear! Welcome to the family ❤️❤️
I love the Arabic style run he does, stunning. I think the keyboard player write the song and since Dimash did this with him it has revitalized this old song and many young singers are now seeking to work with the writer. He is very very humble, gracious and kind always to his fans. When he was in New York he had tears in his eyes from just appreciating his chance to sing in concert in New York which for him was a dream come true and allowed him to present music from his country. When you get to his Kazakh song Daididau, from the Bastau concert, you will see. There are fan made videos of the song Daididau in New York but I saw where one of the owners of the fan made video hit a reactor with a copy right but not sure which one. Just see if nothing else if you can watch that one on your own but the concert in Bastau... he has that on his own you tube channel and does not give copy right strikes. He just want to share his music.
Agreed! Just a note regarding the channel owner you mentioned - what you have to realise is, that after a time, people just get sick of getting their videos stolen and plagiarised! I've known a couple of owners quit uploading videos altogether - having other people take the credit, and/or profit from your hard work without consent, will always be a great recipe for pissing people off! Anyways, I don't think I'll ever understand the mindset of folks who think it's EVER ok to just use another person's property, without asking first - if nothing else, surely it's only good manners...?!
