But that doesn't stop Sam from fearlessly running down the football field, dodging boys left and right all the way to the end zone for a touch down!
Sam scored 15 touch downs and had 13 Yards per carry as a running back. Sam also did well on defense, registering 59 tackles, 3 interceptions, and a fumble recovery during her 2014 football season!
Sam put up amazing stats in her first season playing tackle football two years ago but she took a year off to focus on soccer, where she made her state's Olympic Development Program. She also ran track and took 1st place in the Salt Lake County 50m dash.
But Sam missed football and came back after a year off to play the sport she loved. She had a great coach, who happens to be her personal trainer for the past three years, and great teammates. Although her team didn't win every game - it went 8-3 - Sam had lots of fun playing football.
