How Isaac came to be in a wheelchair is tragic. But he is not bitter, rude or angry. He has a plan for what he wants to do in the future. He wants to be a productive member of society. And I couldn’t imagine him not reaching a goal. He is so fortunate to be born into the family that is his. His parents have raised smart, polite and compassionate children. Well done to them . Raising children is the hardest job that you will ever do right. Clearly they have the blueprint on lockdown. They are all so deserving. And so greatful. This video makes my heart happy. Did you redo the bathroom? I would think it would also be hard for the young man to get in and out of the bathroom. The kitchen and the living room and the bedroom are gorgeous. Thank goodness they got him a better lift for coming and going. Great job George and crew. God bless.

George to the Rescue - Home Makeover For Injured Teen appeared in my list of suggestions. I'm glad it did. This is the best video I have seen on RU-vid. It reminds me of Ty Pennington's TV shows. This family was deserving of a makeover like George and Team provided, proving many people in this world still have hearts full of compassion and care for our fellow human beings. The family appeared to be making the best of an unfortunate situation and Isaac himself was so positive--all of this before the makeover. When they saw the makeover we could see their joy and deep appreciation. Isaac is such a positive teen with a vision that he can be successful and be self reliant. He will be a great contribution to our country. Best to all of you. George and team, the Lima family, their neighbors, and all who made contributions to this project are an inspiration to all.

OK, just finished whole video. (wipe eyes) It is obvious Isaac comes from a very loving family. And his foamily just grown by about 50 people it seems. Isaac will never forget them and they will never forget Isaac. Happy Jesus to everyone. ((now I am going to see if I can find Isaac's pod content))
I am always conflicted about retrofitting a home not designed for wheelchairs. As much as a family may wish to stay in a specific house or neighborhood it makes so much more sense to move to a single floor home where it can be truly barrier free. Cannot imagine that this house is a long term solution which may be why the rescue was relatively mild in this case. I hope it was done with the idea that Isaac will soon move out on his own or that the family will transition to a more practical home in the years ahead.
