Hey Scotty, I’ve got some grow bags that I’m going to try out for spuds 🥔 this year. I hope mine produce like yours! Amazing haul from that one bucket 🌱💕 Do you only use certified seed potatoes to grow from? Xx Cathi xx 😘
Yeew! Nice one mate! I reckon you’ll be grand with those! Love it! I started off with organic certified seed seven years ago and I keep back sone tubers each year to grow the following year.. I tend to keep smaller ones rather than the biggest.. I now sell tubers along with my seeds too so it’s it’s part of the cycle and I’m lucky Luna doesn’t complain about tubers and seeds around.. She’s great that way.. 😁 we are lucky here Cathi , it’s overcast a lot which potato’s like and not too hot.. they grow well here..If you were starting out with your first potato grow I would recommend starting with a certified organic seed potato.. The non organic have growth inhibitors and the parent would of been used to artificial frets etc.. Far more vigorous keeping in line with your growing techniques and situation/environment.. If you are eating spuds you like from a store ( organic ) better still from another grower/farm then you could keep sone of those and sow those.. that would work well and you could then keep some back for the following year.. every year they get better, like garlic and all seeds… I wish so could send you some but the customs in your country is against it. Plus your local potato’s will grow a lot better.. There is a way to breed your own variety too but it’s complex and I couldn’t explain in the comments.. Best of luck mate! Love that you are going to grow spuds! It’s very rainy today so Luna and I are in the cottage raking it easy and catching up on house work.. Sending big love.. please give your bestie my love too.. Keeperlit 🥰💚🙏✨🔥🥔🌀🧬🐶☮️☘️🌸🌻🦋
It just came to me bro when I noticed the markings on the spuds I must of thought if your potato selection video and where sun had seen your amazing potatoes..I dunno it was just spontaneous.. You would think I would be focused on the reveal but I was thinking about your gardens! 😂🤣 Seriously though bro your homestead/gardens/land is out of this world! Just an absolute joy to behold! Thank you so much for sharing with us your art! Have a wonderful day bro. Gratitude 🥰💚🙏✨🧬🔥🌸🌻☘️🍄🐝🥔

In a restaurant I used to work in they did; “ million dollar potatoes “ finitely sliced in a beautiful rich sauce.. I forget the ingredients.. I do love baby boiled first thing in the year bro that’s what I am craving after winter. Truthfully though I eat so many and in so many ways I don’t really have a favourite… but.. For the Sarpo it’s chips! I’m a simple man.. Luna loves baby boiled new potatoes! Sending big love bro. Thank you so much 🥰💚🙏✨🥔🐶☘️🙌🙌
@@growingwithfungi yum like scallop potatoes perhaps….yeah they can be don so many ways indeed. Such an amazing staple food ! Think I’m gonna see if there’s any ready enough today to have a meal. Baked Potatoes 🥔💚and salad is a fave here-don’t even miss the meat usually That’s great you can grow something Luna likes to eat! Juniper will only eat winter squash and snap pease so far. I should try some potato with her meat I’m thinking now.
@@_SunRa_ sounds wonderful bro! i love that we can harvest when we want.. Its just beautiful.. baked spuds and salad from your homestead would be beyond fabulous! Im just adding to the hugel in the back ( Sun Ra style! ) Sending big love and much gratitude brother. 🥰💚🙏🐶🥔🌠
@@growingwithfungi yes! It happened to me. I planted a potato vine which did nothing for the fall season but after winter it started to grow a little then that next fall the vine grew up the tree. After the vine got brown, I thought it looked ugly. Amazingly i found the sweet potatoes sticking out of my garden and they were huge. I dug up 5 big sweet potatoes!!
@@growingwithfungi I keep adding to the story but I found it to be wonderful as well. You see, I only had 3 vines which were planted under a thick surface rooted tulip tree that nothing grew there. Amazingly, the potatoes did not have to be dug up, they just came to the surface by themselves. I really wasn't looking for them and only expected a vine. When the vine gets brown and ugly, the sweet potatoes are ready!!
