Good to see how this knife is made! Kudos to every craftsman in that knife factory! I will buy one, and if I find tiny imperfections I will know it is because it is hand made!

I appreciate the honesty in showing exactly how its made. A great knife for those who don't have a hundred dollars to spend on a bowie. Durable, practical and effective. That's all I need, thanks guys.

I appreciate your work for a very affordable price. Blades are nearly as old as man himself. But Bowie knives are as American 🇺🇸 as they get. So thank you for making a signature knife of my country.

This was my first big knife years ago. Still have it. I put it with the leather sheath in a Rotcho canvas machete sheath and it's perfect. You guys put an incredible amount of work into this. I have another one same size but it is a stick Tang more for chopping fine brush or scaring the neighbors. Canada.

I do hope to buy a bowie like this soon, as it is quite a beautiful, affordable blade. Though I do feel some concern on the way it is grinded after it is heat treated. That can really mess up the hardness of the blade and can make it a serious hazard if used. If you were to grind first, heat treat second, your blades would definitely be the best bowies for the price ever.

I bought one a year ago. Still going strong. Only gripe is that the tip isn't as hard as the rest of the blade but it's still a solid piece. My friends asked me where I got it and when I told them it was Pakistani a couple laughed. I took his essee junglas and cut a quarter inch into the blade with this. Very good knife not just for the price but just a damn good knife. Slightly better quality control and most other knife brands will move to Pakistan for production.

I have 3 of these and gave several as gifts. The most impressive knife for the price. I beat the hell out of 1 and put 7 lifetimes of abuse on it to see what it can take. I still use it regularly. Not a flaw on it.

I picked mine up used for twenty bucks. After restoring the sheath and taking a few minor nicks out of the blade it is in near mint condition. It is the only Pakistani knife that ever impressed me. The sheer size of it commands respect.

I wish you would have left the fake pins off of the knife. Now I know why it looks like the big pin is walking out of mine. Going to pop it out and re glue it . Why mislead people? It's a cheap knife I love it well worth price but it will look crappier than it is when the brass plugs(fake pins) fall out.

Well this answered my question of whether or not I will buy this knife. The answer is definitely “No”. Why? 1. The knife is stamped to shape from a sheet of steel (impressive stamping press), 2. No heat treatment (only heated to anneal for grinding), I don’t think that overheating the edge while grinding and then dipping it into water to cool it off really counts as it is uneven at best. 3. There is no epoxy holding the scales to the hilt except to glue in the FAKE brass pins. There are 5 small brass pins mechanically holding them together but they can easily work loose with use. I will give credit to the workers who do the polishing and cleaning as it is a very good looking knife, but with the important steps left out.

Is this how the $36 mass produced versions are made, or is it a handmade copy? I cant believe they can sell them so cheaply, when so much effort goes into the manufacturing process.

I have two of these knives. I have done everything i can think of within reason to break them. They are indestructible. They will break cinder blocks all day, stab through car doors and hoods, process any wood you want, dig a hole if you want etc. So before you make a asshat of yourself again with shit you learned on the interwebs buy one and use it.

I've never had any problems with the TR65 Timber Rattler Western Outlaw Bowie knives I purchase and they are some of the least expensive, and I'm very glad to have them. So they obviously know what they doing and I will say they have gotten better over the years with heat treatment and temper.

So where is the heat treatment? I bought a timber rattler and it came dull as whit leather and the angle gring is off and it is very heard to sharpen and even then I can not get it as sharpen as my other bowies( I've been sharpening knives, bowies for at least 45 yrs. And I can put different grades of edges and sharpness) on any one. Everyone knows that heat treatment is the MOST important part of a knife blade. I only wish that I had seen this video before I bought one because I wish I have never bought one now. I know I didn't pay big bucks but I at least thought it had some sort of treatment. They are made by Amateurs and I will never by another blade from bud k again
