Kelly is a very humble artist. She lets them shine. This was by far one of my favorite unplanned duets. She was wanting it for awhile now.

She was the first winner of American Idol in 2002. She has several duets with Country Stars, but mostly does pop. She is one of the most versatile singers of our generation. React to her Billboard Music Award Medleys, you will see that she is a vocal chameleon.

She literally begged Teddy swims to let her sing back up which he found funny but she just wanted to do backup for him which is why when she hit those mega notes she pulled far from the mic She is really good about singing a duet or singing background she's not too proud to pull away this was an incredible performance and if you think about the fact that they only ran through it barely one time it's crazy because they're timing was absolutely perfect. It helps apparently that she's been obsessed with this song

Kelly has a segment on her show called "Kellyoke" where she covers a wide range of songs from a wide range of genres, and slays every single one of them. Yes it’s a Teddy Swims original song. Kelly was very laid back and let teddy shine in this duet. She mainly did background type vocals. She can slay anytime she wants to though. She has been in the business 20+ years and has won multiple Grammys. She is nominated for one currently for her new album Chemistry as well. She won the very first season of American Idol over 20 years ago. She is technically a pop artist but plays with multiple genres in her original music. She can sing any genre. She does have her own talk show & she does a Kellyoke to open up each episode. Sometimes it’s a cover and sometimes it’s an original. She also sometimes sings with artists that are visiting the show. Kelly Clarkson hasn't sung Country music for more than 10 years . . . at LEAST. And, yeah - she's been around for "a little while." She was THE FIRST winner of "American Idol" - about 20 years ago. She's done these duets with Cher, Teddy Swims, Michael Bolton, Alanis Morrisette, Pink (amazing - they are both such power-house singers). Kelly Clarkson is one of the most soulful singers there are. Lister to her last album that was released last year - on the finalisation of her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. She WROTE all those amazing songs. I'm a 75-yr-old retired Country singer - and I think she is absolutely wicked. probably the best female vocalist in the word, right now.

Kelly is a huge star in the US and has had numerous pop hits over the years since she won the 1st American Idol. Besides her own talk show, she has been a judge on and off on the American edition of The Voice for several years.

She was holding back there to make teddy shine and just support him and that shows u that she is a humble artist she can easily over sing him with her range but she knows that the song doesn't need her to and it was perfect even better than the solo version

She does a segment called songs and stories. She has done a duet with Pink, Baby Face, Garth Brooks, etc. She received an ACM award for her duet with Jason Aldean. She sang in a trio with Kelsey Ballarini. She sang with Jake Hoot. She has 2 Grammy Awards of her own fir Pop Vocal and is nominated again this year for "Chemistry".

She also has Christmas albums out. I would love to see more collaboration between Teddy and Kelly. I think they would make amazing music.

He was a guest on her show, and she did not want to outshine him, and she basically asked his permission if she could accompany him because she loved the song so much. So she kind of held back so that he could remain the Star.
