that tire never fell off , it was still attached to the hub you ca see it at 10:43 . The reason it was smoking is because when the wheel bearings fail (most likely from the passing trailer) they get so hot they melt heat is transferred to the tire causing the tire to smoke , once the nut that holds the bearing in place melts away the entire tire with hub pops off. The hub is heavy and fairly balanced making the tire roll much further and hit harder because of the weight than if the tire by itself just popped off

I can't say it was cctv footage cuz it didn't exist back then but I got to watch a train fall off the tracks into the Chagrin River in Willoughby Ohio. I was hangin' out at a friend's house who lived right next to where it happened. No one was hurt. It was pretty cool!!

the tire was on a worn bearing that gave way, the lugs and everything were still attached and it sheared itself clean off the trailer, hence the smoke, that was the oil and metal that got incredibly hot due to the extra friction of the bearings failing

Those folks really thought they could stop that ocean from entering the restaurant..

The "car" tire was actually a trailer tire that fell off the trailer pulled by the pickup truck hauling a bobcat loader.

10:15 - The tire was not 'improperly fitted' - it's rather easy to see that the wheel hub is still attached. The trailer that had just passed the house lost the wheel when the hub sheered away from the axle, which is a pretty common problem with trailers when they're not properly maintained and inspected.

That tire most likely came off of the trailer that could be seen passing by. Trailers lose tires a lot more often than cars. It looked like the hub came off with the wheel.

I really like the narrator on this video. He doesn't sound stupid or irritating and has appropriate/actually funny humor. His voice is calm, clear and has the right amount of inflection. So many of these types of videos grate on the nerves. I also liked the explanations with each one. Great job!

9:57 That reminds me of the time my parents and I were driving down the freeway. I spotted a runaway tire and a second or so later I spotted a car missing a tire. Fortunately, nobody was hurt and no cars were damaged.

My favourite video is the one with the bear in the shop. I love the guy who began coming in, beating a hasty retreat when he realised there was a massive bear standing at the counter casually eating Reeses peanut butter cups without removing the wrappings. You can imagine him saying "Oh hell no !!" seeing that. I will say that the bear has impeccable taste though - we love Reeses in this household !!

The last one is something else! It's weird how it crashed into a karate 🥋 class . As soon as you said that last part, I was laughing 🤣 so hard. That was a fantastic video 📸

The tornado in Greece, shown towards the end of this video, is a rare occurance indeed. While small tornadoes occur about 3-4 times per year, such strong ones are very rare, like one in 2-3 years or so. Buildings are very rarely damaged as most of them are brick and cement buildings, structures like hothouses or light warehouse areas built either by light metal skeletons and plastic or metal sheets suffer heavier damages. There has not been a tornado that would make the news in the mid-west of the US in Greece for over 50 years and certainly I cannot remember one that claimed any lives. Still, a heroine experience and sight to behold.
