Yes, friend! 9b and we start big tomatoes end of October, cover and protect as needed over winter. Cherokee Purple, it grew like a tree, lost count of gorgeous big ones. Organza bags over them as soon as they form, no pest issues. Raised bed, Neem dreched preplanting to help with nematodes. Amish paste for roma. And this is gross lol but we are avid fishermen. Minnows that do not survive or carcasses, go in the hole! No joke, amazeballs.

Aji is a Spanish word used for pepper and dulce means sweet. Aji dulce= Sweet Pepper, and Ajises is the plural, so, peppers. That type of pepper is essential in making "sofrito" a condiment use in many Hispanic recipes.

I live in Houston, TX 9A and am growing the Suyo Long cucumber. I got it from Baker Creek. It is parthenocarpic and does not need to be pollinated to produce a fruit. It has been extremely productive and is still alive and going. We have had temps in the mid to high 90s for a few weeks now so it doesn't seem to mind the heat. I would definitely recommend it. No bitterness either.

I’m in zone 10a, Treasure Coast. I love Ting Ping eggplant, it grows so well. I chop it, toss in olive oil, salt/pepper and roast in the oven. After it cools, I freeze it in pint containers and add to my pasta dishes. Kale does really well here in the winter, it freezes and dehydrates well too. I blanch and freeze the sweet potato leaves after I harvest the sweet potatoes and use like frozen spinach in rice or pasta. I have had good success with sugar rush peach peppers. I use them to make peach pepper sauce with peaches and another version with the abundance of mangos I have from my tree.

try out hoss tools for their onion sets. they have a bundle with 3 different types of short day onions they send out a red, granex, and a round yellow/white every year they've grown fabulous for us. we've been growing swiss chard over the summer to replace spinach my family loves it in salad with some lemon juice. it can get buggy but it grows so rapidly the bugs cant keep up. the pickle worms have made cukes/squash impossible here 9b without netting and hand pollinating. this has been the first year ive had a great crop of bell peppers. when are you starting yours? an early start and lots of shade in the beginning and coplanting with beans really helped. they are still going strong. we harvested like 30 today alone... friends and family are hiding from me as i try to share more of them. romas are the way to go. we're bringing in about 20lbs of them a day, though the season is almost over for us now. i'd say we have 2-3 weeks more of harvesting unless i decide to pull them all out and start pinkeyed peas to rebuild the soil a bit. asward eggplants are my new favorites. they produce giant eggplants that are super sweet. they seem to be resiliant to heat and to the crazy rain we've had lately. .

Thanks for the tips! I am having the worst time with tree roots growing into my raised beds here in Florida. I have several fruit trees and a large oak in the yard. Despite being a good distance away (to get out of the shade of the trees, of course), my beds get roots growing into them every season. Each year, I dig and rip them up, but at the end of the season, they have refilled, and my yields go down every year, despite now having homemade compost going into the bes. I'm willing to change out the type of bed (currently western red cedar, home built), as these have begun to rot after 4 years. I don't have other location options. Is there enough interest in this for a video? It's very disheartening.
